Preparation and Properties of Poly(vinylamine/acrylonitrile) Fiber

Article Preview

Abstract:

A novel method for the preparation of the chelating fiber with amine as functional group has been investigated. Poly (N-vinylformamide/acrylonitrile) solution was directly spun into fiber via a wet-spinning. The as-spun fiber was then hydrolyzed into poly(vinylamine/acrylonitrile)fiber in acidic condition. The morphology and properties of the fiber were determined by SEM, TGA and Tensile Strength Tester. The results indicated that the chelating fiber has a good adsorption ability of Cu2+, high thermal stability and appropriate mechanical properties.
