Abstract: Combine with the practice of Kunming city first-phase subway project construction, detailedly introduce the success construction experiences of shield crossing the dense buildings in the unfavorable conditions of shallow soil covering, big gradient, curve in small radius, complex geological condition and upgrade excavation etc. in the paper. Reasonable choosing the grout of synchronization grouting and the main technical parameters of shield tunneling on supporting pressure of working chamber, tunneling speed, total thrust, cutter head torque and excavation quantity etc., and strengthen the link of secondary grouting and technology management, the amount of settlement and uplift of the ground and the buildings can be effectively controlled.

Abstract: Research is conducted under the background of integration of urban and rural areas. The range of research covers ecological security, taking nomadic settlements as the object of research. The ecological, societal and strategic significance of building the nomadic settlements. Take the construction of nomadic settlements on Tibetan Plateau as an example, multiple problems emerged in the construction of nomadic settlements, thus countermeasures can be made, focusing on the problems. Hopefully the construction and planning of nomadic settlements can go on a right track with regard to ecological security, helping to improve the living environment of Tibetan Plateau and embark on sustainable development.

Abstract: The formwork made up of Industrialized Building System is being acknowledged in many writings as a construction method that has many advantages especially on aspects of construction sustainability. This paper discusses the outcome of a research aimed in determining factors and elements that lead to selection of responsive formwork system. A list of sustainability elements in construction development is being summarized through several references. The development of questionnaire survey took place whereby it has been divided by three parts that are the demographic of respondents, the selection factors of formwork system and responsive level of sustainability objectives towards formwork system. The survey was conducted in several construction sites in Malaysia. The findings highlighted the sustainability elements for optimal Industrialized Building System (IBS) formwork system. This study encourages application of modern method to response to sustainable construction.

Abstract: This research tries to explore the relationship between form and function of architecture in the information society through exploring several typical phenomenons. The conclusion is “form follows function” in the information society. The elementary factor of architecture is to provide the place for human’s activities. Once the architecture satisfies the function, different forms can be adopted.

Abstract: Today the construction of green buildings is in full swing, and the concept of green goes deeply into the hearts of the people. However, practitioners in the construction industry often place the emphasis of green building construction on the stage of design and construction. They hardly realize that green building's operation stage is the most important part in the whole life cycle of the building. To build real green building, it also needs sustainable development in the operation stage. The appearing of BIM (Building Information Model) technique effectively solved this problem. Using BIM technique in operation stage can effectively promote work efficiency of the operation organization, improve quality of service to customers, reduce the occurrence of emergencies in building's operation stage, improve safety performance, reduce resources waste and then construct real green buildings.

Abstract: Based on the generalized Hooke's law and the superposition principle, a new element model of linearly elastic and orthotropic solid bodies is presented. Furthermore, the paper provides a new method for analyzing solid bodies. This new element is a simple truss, and a solid body is considered to consist of many such truss elements, then the solid body becomes a truss structure. Thus the internal forces and displacements of the solid body can be obtained by calculating this truss structure.

Abstract: Light-weight steel structure story-adding is a widely used technology in house reconstruction. In this paper, it introduces an technique that using seismic isolation theory in story-adding buildings using light-weight steel structure. On the basis of mechanism analysis, a number of lead rubber bearings(LRB)are set between the top storey of existing building and the newly light steel structure, and the upgraded building is developed as a TMD shock absorber system. Combined a project instance, the relevant technical measures and detail constitutions are given. It should be reference to storey-adding engineering designs.

Abstract: In this paper, the analysis work is conducted for simulating the experimental study on the energy absorption columns performed previously. The software ABAQUS is used for fulfillment of the research. The concrete damage plasticity model is adopted for the calculation of the macro-synthetic fiber-reinforced concrete material used in the columns. The viscosity coefficient and the damage factore of concrete are discussed, and the results analyzed agree with experimented.

Abstract: This research adopted constrained k-prototypes algorithm to analyze the database that contains 294 cases of fatal falls between the years 2003 and 2010 within the Taiwanese construction industry. The objective of this study is to explore the circumstances of the fatal falls. The results of the analysis indicate that the primary circumstances under which the accidents occurred include the professional category of other specialized construction businesses; hazardous mediums such as scaffolding, support frame, stairs, stairways, and the openings, etc.; the time period between 9:00 am and 11:00 am; the falling height between 0 and 10meters. Meanwhile, not adopting safe construction methods is a major indirect factor that contributes to the accidents. The fundamental factors contributing to the accidents include not clearly informing the subcontractors of the conditions of the work environment, risk factors, labor health and safety regulations as well as the necessary measures to ensure the health and safety prior to the project commences.

Abstract: The time sequence of space dynamic development is one of focus problems in current planning, but little technology method research has been done. This paper puts forward the exploratory concept of the possibility of construction behavior, and tries to establish preliminary method of the possibility of construction behavior evaluation by factor analysis method, and conducts a set of methods system guiding the time sequence of space dynamic development.
