Abstract: PPP mode is one of the construction models that develop fast. This article departures from the characteristics of tourism infrastructure construction in Qinhuangdao, combined with PPP mode of development in China, summaries PPP mode to play a major role in construction projects, put forward the measures of the tourist infrastructure in Qinhuangdao application PPP mode.

Abstract: With the information system greatly influencing on the city, the traditional urban design method has appeared some negatives so that the practice needs to rethink conventional approaches to new urban design and management challenges. This paper discusses the ‘before and after’ and several key elements for the future development of the urban design based GIS-technology. The research work outlines how various softwares might form a tool kit to aid its process. Finally, the result concludes with speculations on the future of GIS for urban design.

We must take measures of protection and development to make continuous sublimation for its resources of historical and cultural value in contemporary society.

Abstract: Along with the increasing development of Chinese urbanization, there have been a lot of cities facing the problem of old city renewal. However, during the process of re-plan and reconstruction of the old city, there is a series of changing that refers to the changing of land-use function, adjustment of land layout and the improvement of development intensity, which would change the load and setting of the urban infrastructures. Therefore, how to renew the municipal facilities safely and effectively to guarantee the routine life of people has become a crucial problem in the old city renewal. This paper takes the case study of Hengdaohezi town emphasizing the discussion on re-planning the municipal facilities in the process of old city renewal. Here, the author suggested that municipal facility planning should be carried out under the premise of safety and reliability. In the process of analysis, it should give consideration on the change of urban function and character as well, in order to make the municipal facility planning more scientific and reasonable providing support for the old city renewal from the perspective of municipal engineering.

Abstract: Urban planning administration units integrate urban planning in many levels and pursue more elaborate plan, to service for the urban administration. Abstract: It is obvious that urbanization concerns only about the speed itself but neglects the feeling of people. In addition, this kind of pattern in urbanization which brings prosperity to city and poor to the rural area on the contrary result in heavy burden to the city. It failed in dealing with the essential social problems and provoked various crisis as well. No doubt that this morbid urbanization is not suitable for China’s condition.Therefore, we should break the binary structure that separates city and rural area and regard the city and the rural area as a whole .Only in this way can we improve both on physical environment and economic benefits and gain people’s sense of identity finally. Thereby both the city and the rural area should develop steadily and coordinately.

Abstract: The planning theorem, concept and the related methodology in different era directly influenced the consequence of the city planning at that moment. They are the technical supports to realize the law of city planning. The sound interaction of city planning and city development is always one people are pursuing for. Whereas the city planning is the prerequisite of city development, and it needs corresponding planning theorem and approach to be its technical supports.

Abstract: In recent years, climate change has been getting more serious. How to mitigate and adapt to climate change has caught the concerns of governments and academia. Firstly, this article briefly addresses the causes of climate change and its impacts, and then analyzes the link between climate change and urban settlements and the impacts of climate change to urban settlements in winter city. Finally, according to the Characteristics of winter city, the paper presents some optimization strategies of urban residential quarter in winter city addressing climate change including reducing carbon emissions, ensuring settlements security and guiding residents to public participation. Reducing urban settlements carbon emissions includes improving internal functions, combing the internal transportation system, optimizing the green mode and applying special techniques. Protecting the safety of urban settlements includes improving emergency response system, strengthening the vertical and horizontal connection and optimizing the layout of public space. Guiding residents to public participation includes establishing the information banks of urban settlements addressing to climate change and improving the quality of the residents.

Abstract: Era of globalization, the homogenization of Chinese cities has become reality, how to understand and face this How the cities varied from the metropolis, inland cities, tourist cities, to deal with the issues of the city style With the methods of interdisciplinary study, this article applied the important contemporary globalization theory into urban studies, and explained the causes of contemporary Chinese urban space" homogenization" with government institutional perspective. In consequence a classification for the urban characteristics in the era of globalization was made. Then a scientific definition of the urban context was argued out through the dialectics, the article concludes that globalization has led the homogenization of contemporary people demands along with the recessive context of political, economic, and cultural environment, eventually determined the result of urban homogenization. This article pointed out that there is still urban characteristics and differences in the era of globalization, the city's characters can also be shaped. But more autonomous and more pragmatic strategy should be adopted such as urban style combination views. Our protection for historic towns and buildings is necessary, but it isn’t a valid path to create the contemporary urban identity. We should fully explore the diversity of the harmonious coexistence of city buildings, by managing and creating different levels of urban identity.
