Abstract: An estimation of wall friction during the consolidation of kaolin in testing chamber using the consolidation characteristic is presented herein. A slurry of kaolin was consolidated one dimensionally in a testing chamber under Overconsolidation Ratio (OCR) of ten. The moisture content and undrained shear strength were determined after the consolidation completed. It was found that, the moisture content decreases and the undrained shear strength increases with chamber depth. The differences were observed in the moisture content and strength measurements with increasing depth due to the influence of wall friction during the consolidation process. By using consolidation characteristic of kaolin from the testing chamber and Rowe cell (supplementary test), estimation of wall friction was calculated. It was found that, the wall friction estimation provided differences less than 2.2% with the experimental test.

Abstract: Reliability is one of the most important properties of integrated supervisory and control system (ISCS) in metro. Redundancy technology, a fault tolerant mechanism, can significantly improve ISCS reliability. This paper introduces a redundancy design schema and its implementation in distributed real-time database, which is the kernel part of ISCS, Including upstream and downstream data redundancy processing technology, fault detection and redundancy switch technology. The result shows that this schema is feasible and reasonable.

The process and method of fuzzy comprehensive appraisal method were given. An example was used to explain the application deeply. The method can use for homologous project.

Abstract: Integral space concrete roof is an excellent roof structure, the application scope is wide. The characteristics of the structure and the construction methods get all through the experiment and the actual test, which shows the roof is superior to the traditional form. In order to validate the construction cost and how the social benefits, further researches is needed. Based on the traditional arch board roof for reference, it is researched of the construction cost, the directly benefit, the comprehensive character etc. And as a cold storage the basis, the social benefit is calculated. The results showed that the roof direct construction cost than traditional roof save about 20% ~ 45%, the social efficiency huge, for the popularization and application of the roof provides a strong basis.

Abstract: This paper examines the damage of buildings with different structures in 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake to summarize the features of stress distribution and aseismatic performance and then presents the problems of the masonry building, frame and part of the frame structural buildings in the earthquake. The purpose is to put forward the series of technical strategies of anti-seismic design, which include the overall optimization, stiffness deployment and node strengthening economically and scientifically.

Abstract: In May 15th 2010, a strong wind occurred in Suihua, which caused severe damage of building. In order to get information about damage of buildings caused by strong wind, an investigation was conducted in May 18th 2010. Through observing and interviewing, the first-hand information on the damage of rural buildings subjected to local strong wind were got. Combined with the investigation results after the disaster, an introduction to the hazard around the local strong wind region in Suihua is reported. For half-timber houses, the enclosure structure totally damaged and the gable wall was almost totally broken. For masonry-timber structure buildings, the whole structure collapsed in the strong wind. Some conclusions were got: Some buildings conforming to design code is better than what were anticipated, but the rural buildings without official design damaged serious.

Abstract: From the point of view of architectural design, envelope location, selection, and identify programs of envelope structure in the modern commercial building, give priority to the establishment of image of shopping malls , creating the mood of commercial and other factors. The paper will establish the appropriate model to the impact of the shape coefficient of Commercial building energy consumption in cold regions, validity analysis used the building energy evaluation software named Autodesk Ecotect to provide adequate theoretical basis of energy conservation design strategies.

Abstract: In this study, Larix gemilinii and metal plate were selected as the main materials. According to GB5005-2003, the connection properties of tension-splice joint and larch wood were investigated. The results showed that the elastic modulus of Larix gemilinii was not affected by the performance parameters of tension-splice joint greatly and three kinds of failure modes were introduced. Besides the design value for the ultimate bearing capacity of Larix gemilinii and the design value for the ultimate tensile bearing capacity of the metal plates were determined. A conservative calculation method for ductility ratio of metal plates was proposed. The ductility ratio of the metal plate connected joint changed with the construction modes, and the ductility ratio for metal plate parallel to the grain (more than 2.4) was obviously bigger than that of perpendicular to the grain, which complies with the requirements for ductility ratio in anti-seismic structure.

Abstract: The influence of bearing structure form on the construction cost of use of steel in house building is obvious. Based on the calculation of different bearing structure forms, the steel consumption are given and the analysis of the influence on cost are shown in this paper. And the most economical bearing structure form of multi-storey steel structure house is also obtained.

Abstract: Human behaviors and activities are general in horizontal direction. Architectural designer’s operation on drawings and computer screen is a two-dimensional space form and is a visual feature of plane. So in making architectural design, we usually start from the plane. The article thinks the constitution pattern of architectural plane can be roughly divided into two patterns: geometric grouping pattern and space field model around the architectural center. And the article gives a detailed analysis on it.
