Abstract: Since human beings are living in the dynamic environment which requires multi-perceptional experiences, multiple perceptions prevail in every aspect of people’s life. In this article, the writer is concerned with the problems revealed in the design of public space environment, and the important role non-visual perceptional experience plays in the relationship between human being and environment. In the procession of their design, it is necessary for the designers to pay attention to the users' requirements on the non-visual perceptional experience. Making use of several cases of major city public spaces as example, the writer conducted careful survey into the current situation of the actual practice of non-visual perception experience and validates its essential function.

Abstract: With respect to indoor comfort, different features for yurts and brick buildings where herdsmen live in winter are introduced, issues on temperature, humidity, etc. advanced and some suggestions for improvements on residential building environment of herdsmen delivered through a test, an analysis and comparisons on residential buildings in the winter camping ground of the herdsmen.

Abstract: Harbin lies in high altitude region where residential insolation has always been a sensitive and important problem in planning and construction of residential areas. As the high-rise high-density development mode plays a leading role in metropolitan residential area construction, the sunshine issues and contradiction have been highlighted. This paper aims to conduct an in-depth study on sunshine environment on Dahan Day by choosing Harbin representative high-rise residential districts. It dissects this problem in detail from three perspectives respectively, outdoor venue shadow, indoor sunshine occlusion and typical residential sunshine duration of high-rise dwelling compared with multi-storey residence, which contributes to exposing the severe current situation and diagnosing the root causes of high-rise sunshine occlusion phenomenon. Based on the new sunlight standard, suggestions are put forward in introspection on improvement of related auxiliary mechanism, multi-party balance of interest, and supervision of new standard implementation.

Abstract: From foreign experience and lessons, the urban living space differentiation has brought about serious social problems. At present, during the large-scale urban residential development and construction process in China, there is a trend of differentiation, but it is not yet fully formed. In this regard, the author is trying to find out the ways to build affordable housing communities through such measures as the government policy guidance, the building of a harmonious community, the employment of mixed living pattern, and the heritage of humanistic ideas.

Abstract: As a kind of planting substrates for light virescence plant, cultivation waste of edible fungi (CWEF) has been analyzed and studied in this article. The survival condition of the kind of light green placed on rooftop had been observed in the hottest month summer which concluded a rainfall recycle. Based on the data, we could find that the kind of light green could cut down 80% heat flux into room through rooftop compared with the common rooftop, bring down obviously the temperature of the internal surface and outside surface, contribute to set up favorable indoor thermal environment. Furthermore, it can drop the air-conditioning energy consumption.

Abstract: The high-rise buildings are far away from the earth’s surface. The design of air yards has a great influence on creating natural, humanized buildings and enhancing the interior space. However, it goes against the goal of ecological energy-saving that the space of high-rise building is relatively closed and its environment is always simulated. By analyzing air yard’s layout in high-rises, this document compares the climate conditions and the quality of internal environment at different locations. This document also compares the influence that various compositions of more than one air courtyards could have on high-rise building’s light and wind environment. At last, the document try to put forward principles and strategies to arrange the air yards in a high-rise building ecologically in different climate.

Abstract: In recent decades, sustainable buildings have been increasingly concerned, architects, teachers and college students are involved into a number of theoretical and practical exploration. A variety of sustainable building design strategies and cases spring up. Taking Houji Jiaojia garden agricultural exhibition pavilion design as an example, on the basis of exhausting analysis of the local climate, geographical conditions, it focuses particularly on the use of local ecological straw materials in the building to achieve the sustainability of the project, which can provide some reference for the current and future sustainable architectural design.

Abstract: Nowadays, with the deteriorating environment, people are increasingly concerned about the ecological environment and sustainable development. More and more architects are committed to sustainable building design and research. In China, designers, professors and students in the architecture realm are encouraged to get involved into sustainable architecture design practically/theoretically. With this background this paper presents a case study of a sustainable architectural design called “Painter’s House”, which concentrates on the openness and ecology of architecture. It contains concepts and ideas of functional diversity, integrated sustainable architectural design, as well as “eco-box”, hoping to induce more profound discussion in the sustainable architectural design area.

Abstract: Double skin wall has not only achieved ecological value, but also become an essential architectural language. However, the double skin wall is abused without efficiency consideration in the design of the high rise. The author classifies the double-skin in terms of function based on its technical features, working principle and discusses the relationship between tectonic system and external climate condition on reduction of self-consumption, control of light and utilization of natural ventilation and solar energy in order to estimate the applicable conditions and scope, providing rational selection basis in the usage of double-skin for the high rise design.
