Abstract: Elevators are increasingly widely used in high-rise buildings. Because of its fast running, elevators, with great potential value and social requirements, are now days becoming very important traffic tools in high-rise buildings. However, it is an urgent problem to evacuate safely by using elevators during high-rise building fire accidents. This paper elaborates the necessity of elevator evacuation, analyzed the problem of evacuation by general passenger elevators. Some useful measures are put forward, such as fire prevention, smoke-proof, water-proof and emergency power supply for elevator evacuation during high-rise building fires. It is of great importance for us to utilize these measures for the evacuation by elevators during high-rise building fire accidents.

Abstract: In order to avoid the heat transfixion among users in the concentration area of the water source heat pump, a suitable layout of pumps for drawing and recharging wells is required. Finite element method is adopted to establish the numerical model of groundwater temperature to predict the change trend of water temperature. The results of the simulation indicate that the groundwater temperature change from 6.3 to 14.2 °C in winter, and from 11.5 to 21.2 °C in summer. These results meet the requirements of the drawing and recharging water in the water source heat pump engineering and are able to avoid the heat transfixion among users. The effect of drawing and recharging water in the water source heat pump engineering to the changes of the groundwater’s temperature field can be analyzed quantitatively through establishing the proper numerical simulation which provides a reference to scientifically design the layout of pumps for drawing and recharging water.

Abstract: Hospital environmental Design involves many subjects such as architecture, psychology and praxiology etc. Artworks in hospital broadly improve the environment for patients, staff and visitors. The paper puts forwards that art can considerably promote patients’ recovery, and has positive effect on staff morale and productivity. On the basis of analysis about valid art in hospitals on visuals, auditory and tactile sensation, the paper also discuses how to design artistic environment for different hospital space by using normal artworks such as painting works, live music and sculptures in viewpoint of an architect.

Abstract: This study aims to find out the development tendency of relationship analysis of Built Environment and Travel over decades, especially in the United States, which is a very important and meaningful work. The review of develop tendency in the developed countries such as US will benefit the similar work in China. Particularly, we can know what stage china research in and what we can do something innovative to improve the built environment-travel relationship research in China.

Abstract: The Capital Constructions in cities will greatly impact the city environment and personal security. It will have a devastating effect to the surrounding environment, municipal roads, and underground pipe network after some major accidents, and even some major casualties, such as the Hangzhou Metro accident, and Shanghai Toppled Building accident, etc. This paper analyzed the reasons of the accidents systematically, and raised suggestions of the information-based construction to prevent such kind of accidents.

Abstract: In order to make new residential quarters’ parking mode selection and layout become more rational which can response to the parking pressure bring by the growing private car to the residential quarter.By analyzing the factors of affecting parking model and characteristics of parking demand, studying on the characteristics and applicability of various parking models, derive the method of parking mode selection and allocation according to parking land use. Layout of the parking based on the shape of land, so as to meet most of the parking demand. The results show that the method is feasible to mode selection and layout of parking.

Abstract: The wind environment around two high-rise buildings in tandem arrangement at a Reynolds number of 1 000 were investigated using the lattice Boltzmann method. The numerical simulation results reveal some meaningful regularitiess about the formation and evolution of the complex vortex system around the high-rise buildings. A periodicity phenamenon in the process of the vortex evolution were observed in the numerical simulations. The space between the two buildings is nearly a silent regime with very low velocity, and this is disadvantageous for the transport and dilution of the pollutants. Wind velocity above the front building is relatively large and the maximum wind velocity is approximate 3.0 times the incoming wind velocity. These numerical results can be used in layout planning of high-rise residential buildings to create better environment for the purpose of ventilation and utilization of wind energy in urban area.

Abstract: The paper presented the research on for German Navy's second battalion headquarters building site from the perspectives of building site, building plane, building facades and building structure. building site conformed to terrain, Shapes of building facades were flexible and varied, the overall architectural construction was brick-stone-wood composite structure. The building style was the typical of German Romanticism, both in layout or in the facade shape, color, structure, etc.; it had shown the lively romantic chic, eclectic architectural style.

Abstract: Inverse installation method of large-scale storage tank has such advantages as less investment, high efficiency, no aloft work, et al, but instability problem may occur during the promotion process in the case of a gale. To evaluate the wind load encountering a gale during the stage of construction, flow field around tank was studied by CFD. Based on simplification and model building of flip tank, the flow fields were simulated for different inlet wind velocity. Combined with the contract of the velocity field inside and outside of tank, the characteristics of the pressure distribution on the tank wall were discussed. The horizontal and vertical wind load on tank wall was calculated and the law of wind load affected by inlet wind velocity was analyzed. The result of the wind load for different inlet wind velocity provided the basis of construction stress analysis of hydraulic lifting equipment for flip-tank.
