Abstract: Huge space and shape lead college sports buildings a lot of energy-consumption. Reduce the running energy-consumption is of great importance to save energy and decrease the running cost. This article introduced the using of computer simulation to analysis the design progress in 3 aspects: space efficiency, low running energy-consumption and innocuous design of the life-cycle of building; discussed how to use appropriate low-cost technologies to save energy and make comfortable indoor environment of college sports buildings, and finally argued that using low-cost technologies is effective way to design a green college sports building.

Abstract: Because of the special mountainous terrain of Taihang Mountains, a large number of vernacular architecture adapt to the environment and continue to develop so far, which encompasses a large number of eco-technologies and concepts. By analyzing and researching the layout of the vernacular architecture of the Taihang Mountains, the shape of space, materials technology, energy-saving technologies, construction techniques, we can discover the suitable ecological factors, and provide the basis for the realization of sustainable development and updating of the vernacular architecture.

Abstract: In view of the fast growth of rural residential buildings construction, the lack of scientific and rational design and technical guidance, the lack of the concept of "energy-saving, land-saving, water and materials conservation, environmental protection", towns and villages constructions having been in disorder and confusion states. The method is to sum up some strategies of eco-residential buildings design by analyzing overall planning in new rural construction, single building design and testing new rural residential temperature in Zhangbei. Aim is to provide some reference to planning and design staff in new rural construction.

Abstract: This study solved the problems of cave dwelling physical environment on the Loess Plateau, such as poor ventilation, insufficient lighting, and moisture. Based on the principle that improved its microclimate by passive form design and the method of topological form transformation, the study adopted corresponding energy-saving measures to the control of the outdoor factors that could influence the indoor physical environment, such as solar radiation, air temperature, air flow and humidity. The result provides passive design system and form design strategies to improve cave dwelling thermal environment, light environment, acoustic environment from the aspects of shape, orientation, space layout, indoor partitions.

Abstract: Sustainable development meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainable construction is the creation and responsible maintenance of a healthy built environment, based on ecological principles, and by means of an efficient use of resources. Sustainable buildings meet customer needs through environmentally and socially responsible planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance at the least possible first-time and operating costs. Three assessment methods for sustainable buildings are included: Building Research Establishment's Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) in the UK, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) in the US and Green Globes environmental assessment and rating system. The greatest challenge sustainable construction faces is to lower the initial costs of sustainable buildings. Prefabrication is a means of saving labor and lowering the costs.

Abstract: Jiangxi province, located in middle China, boastful of its unparalleled natural environment, is under-developed and industrially backward. Given its local conditions and environmental advantages, it is feasible to adopt the eco-village planning in the new rural construction. The paper analyzes the current situation and existing problems in Jiangxi villages and puts forward the concept of eco-village by combining the author’s personal investigation and engagement in some recent cases in that area, and finally concludes the appropriate standard and requirements for the local eco-village planning.

Abstract: The "sustainable development" has become the strategic choice of various countries in the 21st century. The sustainable construction has positive contribution to sustainable development, it is the construction that not only can meet the needs of contemporary people, but also can not harm to the needs of future generations on construction. It is necessary for us to advocate the sustainable construction.

Abstract: Since previous instances the requirements of environmental safety, suitability and responsibility of buildings have increased. The criteria of sustainability are included in building environmental assessment systems and tools used in different countries for evaluating their sustainable and environmental performance. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the one of most significant filed in building environmental assessment system (BEAS), which was developed at the Technical University of Košice. The Slovak system was developed on the basis of existing systems used in many countries. BEAS as a multi-criteria system which is incorporated in proposed main fields: site selection&project planning; building construction; indoor environment; energy performance; water management and waste management. Selection of building materials and structures is very important in term of embodied energy and emissions of pollutants. The field of building construction will be introduced in the paper. The aim is also weighting and analysis of significance of building construction indicators in system BEAS with is applicable in Slovak conditions.
