Abstract: The primary purpose of this paper is to introduce the performance approach to assess the adaptability level of transportation system to urban development requirement. Thirty six single measures belonging to ten fields are selected to construct the evaluation index through weighted linear integrated processing, and then weight of expert matrix is estimated by a SVD based AHP method to improve the required precision of matrix with acceptable consistency and amend the significant elements via distance and proximity so as to improve the whole consistency. Taking Xi’an city for the case study, analysis results indicate that the adaptability performance of transportation system to urban development requirement is in a decreasing state, which provides robust and deep insight for decision-makers working on a range of problems and in various circumstances.

Abstract: In order to make the forecasting results of intercity rail transit's passenger volume conform to the actual situation, as well as that the model of intercity passengers' trip mode choice can better reflect the actual situation, this paper will take the following two aspects into account: one is that different socio-economic characterized intercity passengers will choose different ways to travel; the other is that intercity passengers' whole travel is classified into urban trip and transport corridor trip. Therefore, when determine characteristic variables of the utility function, in addition to the travel time and cost, comfort and safety will also be included, and be quantified following the scoring method. After all the above analysis, the logit model based on cluster analysis method will be established, and the reliability and effect of the model will be verified through an example.

Abstract: Considering that lengthened transit airline route will reduce the quantity of customers in hub-and-spoke airline networks, the saved cost and reduced quantity of customers must be traded off when hub-and-spoke networks are designed. We apply gravity model to indicate the influence of quantity of customers due to different selection of hub airports. This paper presents a new network design method and mathematic optimization model whose object is to maximize total social net welfare. The hub-and-spoke network of Chinese fifteen cities is constructed using this method to demonstrate the effectiveness and practicability of this model.

Abstract: Model of heavy truck was built with the ADAMS dynamics simulation software. Dynamic loads between the wheels and the pavement with different loads and different speeds and different road surfaces were analyzed comparatively. Results indicate that the dynamic load between the wheels and the pavement will be increased with the speed increase; the dynamic loads between the wheels and the pavement will be increased with the pavement amplitude increase; Under the same conditions, the dynamic load of fully loaded vehicle was larger than that of no-load vehicle.

Abstract: Abstract. The global economic development facilitates the process of urbanization, during which more private cars are used, resulting in traffic jams and also more air pollution. It is important to provide an energy-saving public transport means in order to relieve pressure on road transport, reduce emission, and even to offer a new alternative of transport to non-local tourists in their traveling, and public bicycles are such a choice. This article investigates into the public bicycle system in Hangzhou, an extension of the existing public transport, analyzes current utilization of public bicycles, problems we have already encountered, well as suggestions and countermeasures for further improvement, in the hope of providing a good example to other cities in the world in their public transport development

Abstract: In order to scientifically decide the percentage of vehicle entering expressway rest area, based on analyzing the influencing factors relating to the percent of mainline traffic stopping, a BP neural network prediction model for it was put forward. Finally, The Xinzheng Rest Area (XRA) was taken as an example for verifying the feasibility of the prediction model and determining the influence degree of the Shijiazhuang-Wuhan high-speed railway on the percentage of mainline vehicles entering XRA. The result shows that the model had a high precision and reliability.

Abstract: A prediction model of train passenger flow volume is proposed in this article to help the railway administration's analysis of running strategies. The model is analysed based on industrial economic indexes and Cobb-Douglas theory to make the prediction. The model is illustrated by applying it to a numeral example, and the analysis of the error rate is made for further research.

Abstract: In order to solve the Inventory-transportation Integrated Optimization problem (ITIO problem) in a distribution network consisting of many warehouses and many retailers, the Lagrange multiplier method, the scenario-based Dynamic Slope Scaling Procedure (DSSP) heuristics and the Lagrangian relaxation-based DSSP heuristics were applied to integrate the system of inventory control and transportation scheduling respectively and in proper sequence. The more efficient Lagrangian relaxation-based DSSP heuristics is found in solving the ITIO problem. And furthermore, the comparative experiments prove the heuristics can get the optimized results in less calculating time and the efficiency of this method is also proved in solving the ITIO problem in a many-to-many distribution network.

Abstract: In order to achieve joint operation among regional rail transit, urban rail transit and major bus lines, a joint operation coordination model was set up to optimize the joint operation, based on the analysis to the operation rules and cost of three mode of transit and passenger's travel cost. Thereafter, the standard genetic algorithm was used to test the application of this model with an example. And test results show that: the total cost and operating cost of joint operation system and passengers' waiting cost and transfer cost in the peak hour or in the flat peak hour are lower in the coordination state than in the non-coordination state; and passengers' travel cost are reduced more significantly than operation cost of joint coordination system. This can significantly increase passengers' satisfaction and it is very favorable to the operators' long-term operation and intelligent control.

Abstract: In recent years, rotation construction is widely used in construction of arch birdge, and the method of construction is difficult and has complicated process. Construction process control for rotation construction of the long-span anch bridge is not only the key measure to ensure the states meeting the design requirements of the constructed bridge, but also is the important part to ensure the construction quality and safety. Therefore, it is necessary to control the construction for the long-span self-anchored arch bridge. The paper established the control system according to the rotation constrcution for the long-span self-anchored arch bridge which is overpass a exited major highway. And took a follow-up observations for the actual states of the constructing arch bridge, and used the finite enlement software ANSYS to analyze the stress of the structure and static and dynamic stress in the process of rotation construction. Comparing the theoretical value to the measured results showed that there was good meet between the results. And the rotation construction was stable, the vertical displacement and the acceleration were smaller, and didn’t take a bad effects on the structure. According to the results of the finite element and monitoring, it will provide the target of the construction monitoring for each construction segment, and meet the final design of the bridge, furthermore it will provide a reliable reference for the smooth progress of construction.
