Abstract: This paper presents a new type of precast concrete tube column which was first put forward by Tianjin University of China. Precast concrete tube column is composited by outer precast concrete tube which is large-scale precast in component factory and inner cast-in-situ concrete. Analysis itself characteristics, comparing with steel tube column and traditional precast component, precast concrete tube column has a good research value. Then new patterns of precast concrete tube column beam-column joint are discussed. Finally the axial compression performance and bias-axial compression performance of precast concrete tube column are simulated by finite element software ABAQUS. The result shows that precast concrete tube column has high bearing capacity. The team of Tianjin University is constantly perfect the research of precast concrete tube column. Soon there would be updated content to be reported.

Abstract: Because of the extremely adverse climate environment and construction conditions, the previous buildings in each South Pole Station in west Antarctica area turned up a series of foundational morbidities. I had been to Antarctica as a member of the 21st Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition Team in 2004, in charge of a program about building suitability. This paper recommended the geological conditions, the subterraneous temperature field and the emerged foundational morbidity in West Antarctica Peninsula Area, eventually expounded a new foundation measure.

Abstract: The evaluation of slope strengthening by using a grid beam system is carried out in this study by using a real slope existed in China is taken as the example to investigate the effects of the strengthening approach. The geological conditions of the example slope are introduced at first. The three dimensional element model of the slope is constructed with the aiding of the commercial package FLAC3D. The excavation process is simulated to obtain the stress distribution and displacement status. The slope performances without and with strengthening are numerical investigated and compared. The different bending moments of vertical beam of the frame and foundation pressure of slope reinforced with binding bolts, pre-pressed anchors and stress dispersion cables are computed. The made observations indicate that the stability of the slope has been obviously improved by applying the strengthening. The approach utilized in this study can also be adopted in the slope strengthening on the other sites.

Abstract: Based on the static load tests and stress tests results of two cases in Karsts area, the bearing behavior of piles were analyzed and compared in this paper, caves in the base of piles not only affect the base resistances, but also affect the frictions of piles. The finite element method was applied to analyze the influence of rocks in the base of piles on bearing capacities of piles, according to the calculated results; the modulus of rocks affects the bearing capacities greatly, bearing capacities increase with the modulus of rocks increasing.

Abstract: Through some engineering example, the finite element software SAP2000N is used to make a finite element analysis on the prestressed concrete slab, which is made of concrete with grade of C40, low relaxation PC strand wile with tensile strength standard value of 1860N/mm2and nonprestressed reinforcements with grade of HRB335. By doing this, the author systematically introduced the material selection, prestressing technique and linear, load values and internal force calculation, distribution of prestressed tendons and nonprestressed reinforcement, the design process of crack and deformation of cast-in-site prestressed concrete two-way slab.

Abstract: In order to analyze the behavior of piled raft foundations under vertical loadings, a simplified method called settlement compensation method (SCM) is proposed based on the basic principles in the code for design of building foundation of China. The effect of several influence factors of the SCM was investigated through an exemplar case. The applicability and accuracy of SCM was checked theoretically with a finite element analysis, and verified practically through a case study in which the results of settlement analysis of other methods were included for comparison.

Abstract: The multi-storey reinforced concrete frame structure used lead rubber pad as the base isolation device. The paper had modal analysis of base-isolated multi-storey reinforced concrete frame structure using the ANSYS software. Comparing the frequency and vibration mode before and after isolation under El-Centro wave, It concluded the leader rubber pad have seismic isolation effect for multi-storey reinforced concrete frame structure .

Abstract: . In this paper, Vacuum Method was offered to test the relative density of coarse aggregate instead of basket method for the quick and exact mixture design of asphalt mixture. Firstly, the testing principle Vacuum Method was obtained by analyzing the experiment characteristic features of Vacuum Method and basket method. Secondly, the stability and accuracy of Vacuum Method were analyzed by testing the relative density of different kinds of coarse aggregate. Finally, the experiment conditions (the vacuum degree and pressure-holding time) were obtained through Comparison Experiment to the conventional basket method. The results show that the relative density of coarse aggregate can be tested quickly and exactly by Vacuum Method. This not only shortens the experiment time, but also raises working efficiency.

Abstract: A heat transfer finite element model for the temperature analysis of space grid structures considering the conduction and protection thickness of the steel members in fire is proposed, and the temperature field of a typical grid structure is analyzed by using the proposed model. The results show that the proposed model is reasonable.
