Abstract: This paper analyzes the evolution of Tibetan temple’s plane form from three periods. It describes the historical background, which leads the temple’s pattern from imitation of the Indian temple to have their own mature fixed form, and analyzes the temple forms of each period through a series of examples.

Abstract: This paper reviews the present situation of research on earthen architecture sites protection in China from the diseases of the earthen architecture sites, reinforcement technologies and materials, non-destructive testing technology and seismic stability reinforcement, and points out the main existing problems. The author holds that China should carry out the top design of the protection research topics as soon as possible to identify the core scientific problems and strengthen the cultivation of the research team; construct the earthen site simulation laboratory in field to research the disease mechanism in a large scale from multi-field coupling analysis; start the scientific research work on the traditional reinforcement materials and techniques and emphasize the application of the traditional reversible reinforcing technique; establish the post evaluation system on the reinforcement effect and make the long-term tracking of the protective effect of the existing reinforcing projects to put an end to the protective destruction; supports the development and application of the non-destructive technology in the field of heritage preservation.

Abstract: This paper mainly discusses the important role of the Chinese ancient view –“harmony between man and nature” in modern design. It focuses on the analysis of popular concepts of “environment orientation” and “people orientation” in environmental design, and holds the view that the concept of “harmony of man and nature” makes up for the deficiencies of the first two. In dealing with the relationship between man and himself or nature, the concept of “harmony between man and nature” offers a good theoretical basis which will surely become new ethics and standard in design.

Abstract: Based on the research theory of internal relations among various functional departments of a hospital building system, this paper firstly puts forward the new design concept of “functional zone, functional circle, and functional group”. This concept focuses on the optimization of medical functional flows and the improvement of service efficiency of a hospital building. The hospital design in Bayan Nur City is a domain in combination of new concept and hospital design, as well as desirably reflecting the feasibility and advancement of this concept. This concept is expected to get the recognition from hospital architects, and to realize this new concept will be general guidelines on hospital design in future.

Abstract: Recently, because of the transformation of the economic regulation policy and the strict mortgage regulation policy, many developers is showing the increasing enthusiasm about the commercial property. However, many of them is only developing residential or developing both of them. As a result, it will lead to a lower preliminary planning level and not solid positioning work before the start of many projects. Then they can’t make a rational investment and make their decision scientific. Of course, they can’t accomplish the desired objectives. This paper aims at studying on hot spot in real estate industry that factors influence the positioning of commercial property. It is hoped that it can provide the reference for other researchers.

Abstract: The shape of the gate formed as early as in ancient times along with the space theory formed. Traced back history of door, from "The system of the gate "to find the important relationship of the traditional residence in the north door culture" of traditional Chinese culture. From the type of door, layout and orientation, shape, decoration, detail components, analyse the traditional Chinese thinking mode of thinking on the impact of traditional buildings in the north door . " gate "was given as an entry form social grade, traditional culture, aesthetics, and other aspects of social significance.

Abstract: The atrium space is widely found in nearly all types of architecture. In the twenty-first century, some of our values and objectives are being focused on ideas of the adaptive reuse of old building and sustainability. By selecting several cases allowing adaptive reuse of historic buildings into contemporary icons, this paper analyzes the strategies of applying atrium in the adaptive reuse of old building through the section of space and energy conservation, demonstrates the great potential that the atrium has to offer in this area. The conclusions show the “integrated design process” and sustainability can be attributed to successful execution of atria designs in the adaptive reuse.
