Abstract: Wheel diameter difference has great impact on the operation performance of vehicles which are traveling on the curved bridge. A simulation analysis model was built to analyze the influence of wheel diameter difference on safety and stationarity of vehicles on the curved bridge. The results demonstrate that along with the increase of wheel diameter difference, the security of vehicles on the curved bridge decreases and the vehicles run unsteadily. So the wheel diameter difference should be diminished as much as possible, especially strictly controlling the wheel diameter difference of high-speed vehicles.

Abstract: The switch machine gap monitoring technology is the main technology to detect the turnout’s service status and ensure the operational safety. This paper deduces a mathematical model of the gap monitoring on the basis of the analysis of the gap monitoring techniques and the working principle of the switch machine. It uses the Fiber Bragg Grating technology to extract and analyze the gap data. The results show that the use of Fiber Bragg Grating could get a more accurate monitoring of the gap, and provide a more reliable support for the switch machine maintenance at the same time.

Abstract: In this paper, the CBM+ technique and its ideal are applied to vehicle equipment management field, and management thinking for vehicle equipment CBM are put forward. With EQ 1118G equipment as research, characteristics of equipment management CBM are analyzed, management system for the EQ1118G CBM are constructed, the modules are set up, and their functions are given. The results provide a system framework for the vehicle equipment CBM and information zed management.

Abstract: The standard wheel and damped wheel model were established in ANSYS, through modal analysis to study the vibration characteristics of them. The results show that vibration of standard wheel is mainly manifested as torsion pendulum vibration of tread, radial and axial vibration of web and combination vibration of tread and web in frequency of 0~5000Hz.In this frequency range, 0~1000Hz mainly manifested as torsion pendulum vibration of the tread, above 1000Hz, these three have the performance, especially in the web vibration is most active, therefore, Web is the primary noise radiation source in the standard wheel structure. The mode shape of damped wheel is same as standard wheel in the range of 0~5000Hz, mainly manifested as torsion pendulum vibration of tread, radial and axial vibration of web and combination vibration of tread and web.

Abstract: A gateway based on ARM is presented to achieve mutil-protocol conversion among different electronic control units. To guarantee its real-time ability and stability, the μC/OS-II embedded operation system was adopted. The first-in-first-out data queue is used to balance the communication rate among the different communication protocols which consist of the Controller Area Network, TCP/IP and RS-232. The gateway can be used in remotely manipulation between the console with Ethernet and remote underwater vehicle with other serial communication protocols.

Abstract: Good accessibility to the internet, cheap and reliable wireless sensor network (WSN), together with the explosion of ubiquitous wireless devices like computers, PDA and smart-phones etc, extend the application of the Internet of Things (IOT) technology from traditional fields such as the logistics to engineering fields in which the real-time monitoring of the function and the reliability or safety of machines or engineering structures like bridges becomes more and more crucial. The work in this paper aims at the development of a monitoring system for the type of cranes which are used to hoist heavy loads in the open air environment by using the technology of IOT. And a safety monitoring system, which consists of both hardware unit and software, has been developed and is now being practically applied in engineering. The software of the system is developed on NET platform and the operating platform is Windows operating system.
