Abstract: Past thermal experience is related to the memory and seems to be responsible for the changes in people’s expectations. In order to investigate how the previously air conditioned exposure impacts thermal perception in semi-outdoor spaces, the controlled experiments were conducted, with a total of 36 undergraduates who participated as the subjects. Based on the controlled experiments, the impact of previous exposure temperature to air conditioning was examined. It was found that the previously air conditioned exposure temperature has impact on thermal perception in semi-outdoor spaces. Based on the experiments, it can be found that the impact of the air conditioned exposure temperature is not significant when the temperature difference between the air conditioned environments is about 2°C or 3°C. However, the impact of the air conditioned exposure temperature appears significant when the temperature difference between the air conditioned environments is up to 5°C.

Abstract: With respect to the higher sound insulation need of the buildings, the attached room may be considered to adopt. A calculation model is applied to predict the sound insulation of a specified attached room. Realistic sound insulation inversion, furthermore, is consistent with the procedure of engineering practice. By the artificial immune algorithm (AIA), the inverse sound insulation prediction model is developed, which adjust the insulation of each element (wall, door and window etc.) and sound absorption of the attached room. Under agreeing with the reasonable configuration of an attached building and meeting sound insulation requirement simultaneously, it was found that acoustic properties of each member within a whole attached room were obtained. As a consequence, the material and even the configuration of each wall can also be determined. It will be beneficial to building design.

Abstract: We divide the China interior design development which from 1980s to today into three historical stages: the difficult start, the unsmooth exploration and the reflective walk of China contemporary interior design. At the end of 20th century, China interior design had been quickly went through the process by using more than 2 decades, while the western nation expended almost 100 years. Entry the 21st century, China interior design started a new exploration and development at the base of summering its own experiences and lessons in vertically and learning advanced theories and experiences in horizontally.

Applying national culture and the designing concept to modern interior design will promote the combination of modern and traditional interior design style. This paper expounds the applications of Chinese traditional national culture in interior design, pointing at aspects like using the thought for reference, the use of traditional symbols as adornment element, reflecting the furnishing art with rich cultural connotation and so on.

Abstract: The heat transfer system of glass evacuated solar collector with an inserted heat pipe was established and researched experimentally. Two different kinds of heat collector device with heat pipe using magnetic nano-fluids and water as the working fluid respectively were researched at different aspects of tilt angles, climate conditions and total solar radiations.The exprimental results show that the solar collector with an inserted heat pipe using magnetic nano-fluids as the working medium has the lower heat loss coefficient, the higher average daily efficiency and instantaneous efficiency. The results provide a new idea to improve the heat transfer performance of solar collectors.

Abstract: The main considerations of building some new-type rural houses in Yinchuan are to improve indoor thermal environment and to reduce heating energy consumption by passive solar use and high-insulation envelope. Two houses were measured, a traditional one with adobe walls and a wooden roof, and a newly-built one with straw-bale insulation. Results show: (1) the linear layout of the traditional house leads to a higher heating energy consumption than the new one with climatic buffers; (2) the new house with straw-bale bricks have better thermal insulation performance than the traditional one with adobe wall; (3) lacking thermal storage is one of the main causes of larger indoor temperature fluctuation in the new house; (4) as a traditional partial interval heating mode, the “Kang”(a bed-stove made of bricks or fired clay) in the bedroom uses energy efficiently and improves the indoor thermal comfort.

Abstract: This article discusses the significance of urban color landscape and content, analyzes the present situation of Wuhan city color, combined with the overall urban planning and architectural design requirements, generalizes the regional, coordination, continuity, humanization design principles of urban color planning, aiming at characteristics of Wuhan city, division of the different functional areas, put forward the corresponding regional characteristics and color design requirements, in order to improve the Wuhan city landscape image quality.
