Taxi Operation and Management System Based on Distributed Only Taxi Stations Solving Strategy

Article Preview

Abstract:

A new taxi operation and management system which is based on distributed only taxi stations solving strategies was proposed. This system has four major parts, including only taxi stations (OTSs), car GPS, mobile phone client/web site and scheduling center. This system abandons traditional street-sweeping mode to search passengers who want to take taxi and builds OTSs for taxi drivers to park. Passengers get no-load taxis information through telephone or web site, and choose one way to achieve trip purpose, such as they can go to the OTSs to take a taxi or contact with no-load taxi driver directly. This system can solve the problem of high no-load rate, fundamentally, which is caused by the information barrier between taxi drivers and taxi passengers. And what’s more, this strategy can also solve other problems, including energy saving, urban traffic jam reducing, and air pollution decreasing.
