Abstract: With the rapid development of highway construction, quickly increasing passenger traffic demand, the importance of layout planning of highway passenger terminal is becoming more obvious. Based on analyzing the forming mechanism of a passenger transport hub, an evaluation indicator system was established for a comprehensive transport hub from the perspectives of transport demand and supply. For overcoming the subjectivity, entropy theory was applied to determine the various indicator weights with fuzzy evaluation model. Finally, the indicator system and fuzzy entropy weight method were applied in Jiangsu province as a case study.

Abstract: Distribution service network system (DSNS) has dynamic, open, pop and other nonlinear characteristics in terms of structure, environment, and behavior as a subsystem of comprehensive passenger transportation hub system (CPTH). It is a typical complex system. The author putted forward the adaptability of DSNS based on the analysis of complexity of DSNS and analyzed the driving force of adaptability. The model of individual agent and self-adaptive control model of DSNS were designed to provide a dynamic method for adjusting control strategy based on multi-Agent method and CAS theory.

Abstract: It is a challenge in the research field of GIS-T and ITS to design a road network model that can well express the full range of transportation information. The existing Multi-hierarchy road network models often have some defaults, such as repeated storage of data, high degree of redundancy, difficult to analyze network, etc. Based on the analysis of image pyramid model and road feature hierarchy, a road network pyramid model has been proposed in this paper. This model has the adaptive ability to express multi-scale information and can descript road network the most detailedly with comprehensive road characteristic of all hierarchies. Low degree of redundancy of spatial and topologic data is another advance of the model. So this model is more suitable for multi-hierarchy analysis of road network.

Abstract: With the development of rail transit, interchange efficiency is more and more important. This paper conducted model based research on interchange evaluation based on Yishan Road station in Shanghai, China. Interchange evaluation model was established by combing Fuzzy Method and Analytic Hierarchy Process. Calculation result showed that established model can be used to evaluate the interchange performance of Yishan Road station. The implementation of this model is demonstrated its usage on interchange efficiency evaluation. Further study should be conducted to optimize the interchange arrangement in Yishan Road, to improve interchange efficiency.

Abstract: High efficient information sharing is the key factor to realize the integrated collaborative operation in through transport of railway freight. This paper presents a framework of information sharing among the railway enterprises and their customer enterprises. The information sharing demand was categorized into information sharing for demand-supply matching and the integrated collaborative operation. The information sharing content was defined according to the information sharing demand. Base on the current information technologies utilized in China’s railway freight transport, the framework of information sharing was constructed from four aspects: the hierarchy of information sharing, the mode architecture of information sharing, the methods of information collection and the supporting conditions of implementation.

Abstract: Yangshan Port, one of the most essential hardware of Shanghai International Shipping Centre, accounts for more than one-third of the total throughput of Shanghai Port. However, as ocean transport develops rapidly, Donghai Bridge, the only channel from the port to economic hinterland, indicates high risks of unavailability and insecurity. The aim of this paper is to investigate the solution for solving this disputed contradiction by exploring the second channel. This paper analyzes the real situation about Yangshan Port and the necessity for the second channel in security and transportation structure aspect. Furthermore, this paper also studies and compares three alternatives through technical and economic assessment and Cost-Effectiveness Analysis. The results show that the highway-railway dual-purpose tunnel is the most feasible and effective solution, which provides some advice and references to the continuous development and improvement of Yangshan Port.

Abstract: The emergency response ability plays a decisive role in the railway dispatching emergency disposal process and the evaluation of response ability is particularly important. Based on the establishment of evaluation system, the evaluation of response ability to dispatching emergency by interval number theory of uncertainty in mathematics was studied. With using [0,1] interval evaluation and taking three mean value to calculate index attribute and using weight method, the paper establishes the evaluation method of response ability to dispatching emergency. At last, taking the evaluation response ability to dispatching emergency of Shanghai Railway Bureau as example, it is proved that the proposed method is effective, simple and feasible. The new evaluation model would provide the reference for improving level of railway dispatching emergency disposal.

Abstract: To compare the proportion of container rail-sea intermodal transportation in container transportation at home and abroad, this paper analyzed the reasons of container rail-sea intermodal transportation development was relative lag in China were mainly shown on that trunk railway transport capacity was in shortage, the connection between ports and railway lines weren’t close, railway tariff mechanism was irrational, ports and railway stations were lacking in information sharing, and operation organization mode was imperfect, etc. In order to seek highly effective and economical modes of container rail-sea intermodal transportation and strive to develop the significant advantages of railway freight transport compared with other transport modes, in view of the above problems this paper proceeds from the railway transport organization and puts forward several programs, e.g. establish sea-rail intermodal transport channels, improve cargo sources organization, construct rail-port through transport mode and the passengerized transport organizing of container train, etc.

Abstract: This paper based on the surveys of Beijing West Railway Station, Guangzhou Railway station, Xi'an Railway Station, Zhengzhou Railway Station, Jinan Railway station and Shangqiu Railway station. Looking over the tickets of passengers and recording the time when they enter into the stations, a waiting time model is established on the basis of logarithmic normal distribution theory. The number of passengers assembling in a station is found after the logarithmic normal distribution model is used to deal with the rule of passenger arriving and the uniform moving law is applied in passenger departing.

Abstract: Train-set circulation problem is an important issue in operations of high-speed passenger trains in the world. On the basis of characteristics of the train-set circulation problem in China, an integer programming model is presented without considering distinct train-set types. With redefinitions of some basic mathematical objects and operations, an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed to solve the model. The algorithm is applied in a real-life case study based on the timetable of the Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Railway Line. The results show that the proposed algorithm is effective to find the optimized train-set circulation plan.
