Study on Fluctuation Reason of DC-Side Voltage of Active Power Filter and Stability Control

Article Preview

Abstract:

Aiming at the influence of the dc-side voltage fluctuation on the active power filter (APF) performance, the cause of dc-side voltage fluctuation is elaborated on the basis of instantaneous power theory, and the control principle of the dc-side voltage on the instantaneous energy balance is analyzed. Then, the PI control method of dc-side voltage is put forward to simulate in MATLAB/Simulink. Two methods which are with and without PI control of dc-side voltage are compared. The simulation results show that this control method make the APF have a good com-pensation effect.
