The Research about Image Enhancement of the Cylindrical Workpiece Based on Matlab

Abstract:

This article first puts forward an image of a cylindrical workpiece, then analysis the histogram of it and normalized it. Focusing on the feature that the gray value of the cylindrical workpiece is different from that of other parts, the article puts forward a method called ‘’Targeted grey value interval Segmentation’’ to abstract the target feature, after analyze the divided grey value interval. Finally noises in the image are removed through negated binary image and morphological closing operation. Experiments shows that apply this algorithm in this kind of image can result in better image enhancing effect.
