New Planning of Pipe Cooling in Temperature Control for Mass Concrete

Article Preview

Abstract:

Pipe cooling is a significant measure for temperature control in the construction of concrete dam. In the past, studies concerning pipe control are quite simple, most of which are confined to the theories. They only focus on the positive effect of pipe control in reducing thermal rise, while paying little attention to its negative effects in elevating temperature stress. This paper carries out example verification on programs such as cooling height, distance between pipes, cooling stage, cooling temperature control, etc on the basis of simulation calculation program of the temperature field and thermal stress in the whole process, so as to seek the optimal effect of pipe cooling thus reducing thermal stress and improving the anti-crack reliability of the concrete.
