Abstract: The objective of this paper is to model the behavior of an electrostatic MEMS converter using its Q – V diagram. This model is used to sense the required instants to charge and discharge the converter. By this way the design of the converter’s controller circuit can be carried out. The converter model is implemented using SPICE circuit simulator based on discrete components. As a result, the charging and discharging instants of the converter are determined.

Abstract: This paper presents a development of Electromagnetic simulation tool for design of rectangular waveguide filter using inductive-capacitive resonant iris circuit. The simulation is designed and developed by using the electromagnetic wave propagation and iterative method to calculate the amplitude of waves in the frequency and spatial domain. The developed EM simulation, called WCD (Waveguide Circuit Design) consists of menu, designed, calculating and displayed windows which were designed by using GUI (Graphic User Interface) of MATLAB® software. In this paper, the resonant iris circuit in the waveguide are simulated and compared to the CST Microwave Studio®. The simulated results present correctly the circuit properties and electric and current distribution on the waveguide iris circuit. The results agree with theory, CST simulation.

Abstract: Quadrotor has emerged as a popular testbed for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) research due to its simplicity in construction and maintenance, and its vertical take-off, landing and hovering capabilities. It is a flying rotorcraft that has four lift-generating propellers; two of the propellers rotate clockwise and the other two rotate counter-clockwise. This paper presents modeling and system identification for auto-stabilization of a quadrotor system through the implementation of Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). EKF has known to be typical estimation technique used to estimate the state vectors and parameters of nonlinear dynamical systems. In this paper, two main processes are highlighted; dynamic modeling of the quadrotor and the implementation of EKF algorithms. The aim is to obtain a more accurate dynamic modelby identify and estimate the needed parameters for thequadrotor. The obtained results demonstrate the performances of EKF based on the flight test applied to the quadrotor system.

Abstract: The methods in delivering engineering design have gone through evolvement where the effectiveness of conventional methods is decreasing. However, the importance of concurrent engineering design approach has tremendously increased due to the ever competitive world today. This is the reason why engineering designers are concern about the methods of delivering design and one of the recent interests is using interactive system to deliver design. In this paper, the construction of interactive system will be discussed followed by the experimental setup. Experiments will be conducted in the form of performing few selected tasks with the interactive system and comparison will be made with the conventional design approach. Comparison will be done by collecting feedback through questionnaires from the participants who are involved in the experiments. Feedback will be analysed to identify the feasibility of interactive concurrent engineering design system.

Abstract: The issue of flight arrival in civil airport is a typical problem of discrete event dynamic system. IN Time is a random variable. According to the characteristics of arrival flights, flight delay cost as objective function, the fuzzy model for scheduling arrival flights is established. In the case of growing air traffic, the model is a better opinion for scientific optimum ordering matter in air traffic control system. It can improve flight operation on time.

Abstract: Transmission towers have characteristics of similarities and succession; therefore parametric modeling ideas can be used in simulation study on the tower. Using CSG method, characteristics parameters extraction and the 2Z2E3 double-loop linear tower, the paper suggests parametric modeling analyzing the 2Z2E3 double-loop linear tower. Finally, its verified that the feasibility of parametric modeling through the modal analysis comparison between parametric model and GUI model in ANSYS.

Abstract: The raceway boundary described with contour field is coarse and fragmentized, but all of previous studies are based on Euclidean geometry. In this paper, particle velocity contour has been developed to define the raceway boundary. Then the fractal method of calculating raceway size, which describe boundary with extremely un-regular or fragment characteristic, is brought forward in physical model. The results show that the precise raceway boundary can be obtained by particle velocity contour.

Abstract: In this paper, based on the customer satisfaction theory [ of social and experimental psychology, Satisfaction measuring model of bus rapid transits service was established by using the measure and economic method, and the pilot study for the reliability and validity of the model was implemented in Jinan city. The aim of establishing satisfaction measuring model is to provide references for the decision makers on improving service level of operated bus rapid transit.

Abstract: IEEE Std 1641-2010 puts TPL, TSF, BSC and SML four layer STD structure model, which provides the capability to describe and control signals, but does not give the layer between the mapping relation and its specific realization process. Based on a in-depth understanding of those layers, we provide signals request and connection mapping model and its arithmetic based on layered mapping theory. It settles signals to instrument resources allocation problem and signal-oriented driver designing in auto test system.
