Simulation of Metal Material Quasi-Static Tensile Test Based on ABAQUS

Article Preview

Abstract:

As the rapid development of metal material science, various kinds of metal materials have emerged. The strain and stress characteristics of materials are prerequisites of its application in the actual production. So it has to take many experiments which will cost a lot of manpower, materials, time and equipments to get the characteristics. In this paper, we simulate the process of a metal material quasi-static tensile test based on ABAQUS to discuss the accuracy of simulation data with experimental data. The simulation data is compared with the quasi-static tensile test data of a new kind of aluminum and the verification of accuracy is based on numerical fitting method.
