Abstract: based on the analysis of the production technology and present status of online glass coating production, a non-contact measurement capacitance sensor, which is adaptive to the high temperature condition and enjoys a novel structure, is proposed in the paper. The online measurement of molten tin surface position in the CVD coating production process under the condition of 700°C can be realized with the sensor. The reliability and feasibility of the dynamic measuring system have been proved by the experiment. The dynamic accuracy is better than 0.1mm within the effective range of 25mm.

Abstract: This paper presents a method for intrinsic calibration of a multi-beam LIDAR system. Existing approach to solve the problem by taking the distance instrumental error model of the LIDAR as a constant, however, further research demonstrates the linear model is more accurate to describe the distance error of a laser measurement system. We use linear instrumental error model to calibrate the multi-beam LIDAR system. The optimization process is based on comparison the scan data with the ground truth environment. Experimental results show the efficacy of the calibration.

Abstract: According to the requirements of mine safety warning, the current paper designs and implements the mining monitoring system based on Wi-Fi for collecting and uploading the mine environmental data. The specific studies mentioned in this paper include the transmission of personnel and equipment information, the real-time uploading of alarm information and the real-time issuing of instructions from the dispatch center. Experiments show that the system has the stable and reliable communication between the labels and readers. The system which has the good scalability is also convenient for the access of other Wi-Fi support devices.

Abstract: The paper discusess mainly how to accurately measure the real-time length of fiber optic gyroscope sensing coil (fiber coil) in the process of FOG coil winding. First, using the improved moving target detection algorithm to process the fiber images collected by machine vision. Secondly, using software algorithm to calculate the real-time radius of fiber winding. Finaly, combining the incremental optical encoder with real-time radius to calculate real-time winding length of fiber coil.

Abstract: A new real-time angular distortion measurement system, composed of devices i.e. the photoelectrical auto-collimating collimator and the reflex light-tube installed on deck, is developed in this paper. Real-time measurement of vessels bi-dimensional angular distortion is achieved by using this computer control system. Two video signals of photoelectrical auto-collimating collimators are received by the computer control system, and real-time image processing is done to obtain the dynamic miss distance. Then relative distortion of vessel is calculated by overlying measuring results of these two-way images.

Abstract: A new real-time measuring system based on video image is developed in this paper. By using the self-collimating collimator, the reflex light-tube and other devices installed on deck, the bi-dimensional dynamic distortion can be achieved by the video interpretation system. The video interpretation system incepts two video signals coming from two CCD of photoelectric self-collimation parallel optic equipment. Real-time video image processing and interpretation, as well as dynamic miss distance are achieved by using concurrent working mode, and the relative distortion of vessel can be obtained by combining the two measurement results.

Abstract: Serial communication has been widely used in varies fields, and its application in the measuring system for the keel-line of ships is discussed in this paper. The main function of the measuring system is to fulfill the orientation introducing, thus to realize the unification of coordinates. Serial communication is applied in the measuring system to achieve real-time data communication between self-collimation theodolite, electronic gradienter, center computer and computer of measuring system. The component of a communication system, the function, the system protocol and the program design are introduced in this paper. It is proved that the communication system, which fulfills real-time as well as accurate and reliable data communication, has already been applied in measuring system of ships keel-line.

Abstract: On the basis of complicated structure, various movement forms and high difficulty of fault detection for reciprocating engine, we have implemented the research on fault diagnostic approach by multi-sensor information, carried out the multi-source information fusion based on crankshaft phase signal, vibration signal, ultrasonic signal, pressure signal, ignition voltage signal and oil analysis information, created distributed structure model with multi-source information fusion, explained the parallel, distributed, serial and tree topology structure models, and established total model for multi-source information fusion of reciprocating engine fault diagnosis.

Abstract: DR image in industrial castings is usually a gray scale image and it has difficulty in simultaneously showing the defects within different thickness parts. To address this issue, the floating point type data obtained by the scanning of DR system is firstly converted into three gray scale images by the more gray stretch technique, where different gray scale images contain different thickness defects of the castings. Secondly, those three gray images are synthesized into one color image. The synthesized image contains lots of details of measured castings and its aim is to reduce the loss of image detail caused by the converting procedure. Then region growing model is exploited to segment the defects of images. Finally, experimental results show that the color synthesis method can better segment the casting defects of the different wall thickness.

Abstract: MSA takes a very important role in project application of Lean Six Sigma (LSS). In this paper, the concepts and content of MSA in LSS are introduced, and the R & R model of the MSA is discussed. The average and range analysis method and variance analysis method are elaborated, and a comparative analysis of the commonplace methods in MSA is addressed. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the application of MSA methods in data analysis of LSS improvement project. The results show the impact of different methods on the evaluation conclusions of MSA.
