Effects of Oblique Misalignments on a Coaxial Waveguide Performance

Abstract:

The effects of the misalignment between the inner-rod axis and the outer-wall axis in an open coaxial waveguide are studied by means of the software CST microwave studio. Results show that the field amplitude and S parameter of TEM mode decreased with the oblique misalignment angle increased. But the effect is little. While the oblique misalignment angle is up to, the field profile of TEM mode is affected largely. So in the practical of engineering applications, we should try to avoid the occurrence of oblique eccentric between the inner rod and outer wall during to technological factors.
