The Rigid-Flexible Coupling Dynamic Condition Analysis of New Type of Pipe Racking Manipulator

Abstract:

This paper introduces a new type of pipe racking manipulator system, which is a very important link for the automatic drilling platform. 3D model of the system was established in the Solidworks, then imported to the ADAMS to complete the establishment of the rigid-flexible coupling model. The response of motion output, the change of the main connecting rod tension, and so on, was analyzed in ADAMS. The results show that the elastic deformation of main connecting rod has an very important influence up on the whole system dynamics condition, the rigid-flexible coupling model can correctly reflect the dynamics condition of the new type of pipe racking manipulator.
