Abstract: The experience in building practice proves that in assessing and evaluating the state of reinforced concrete structures, also professional companies place a clear emphasis mainly on determining the strength characteristics of concrete, assessing the rate of corrosion and the distribution of reinforcements in assessed elements. Obtaining these data is essential for the structural analysis of a structure. However, from the view of a complex evaluation of the state of structures, this information is quite insufficient, for example because of fully omitting the evaluation of the state or rate of degradation of concrete by action of chemically aggressive substances from the outside environment. For example, it is not possible to predict further life of a structure in a relevant manner on the basis of facts only found out by testing the strength characteristics of concrete.

Abstract: There have made great progress in urban space research which based on the individual bodily difference in the context of postmodernism. Feminine space also has been focused in the Architecture. In China, women often are regarded as one unit of sub-groups, whose living condition and living space had undergone great changes. Based on the bodily difference, from the view of functional requirements, behavior needs, physical needs and psychological requirements of women, the paper discusses the major existing problems in four aspects, which concluding function layout, transport supply, service facilities and space identify. Combined architecture and geography, sociology, urban planning, the paper uses the method of cognitive map and preference method to explore feminine cognitive pattern and behavior model, thus construct the ideal paradigm of urban feminine public space.

Abstract: Privacy is one of the socio-cultural factors that affect on the formation of vernacular houses forms as a space organization and forms of elevations. Dealing with privacy varies from one culture to another, and this explains the diversity of houses forms in detached geographic regions. Privacy affects on the vernacular forms through a set of sub-factors. The most effective sub-factor on the elevations of traditional houses forms in Erbil city is the privacy of view between public and private spaces. Abstract: Based on research performed by the author, a universal formal definition of the concept of Intelligent Buildings in terms of theoretical cybernetics, set theory, system analysis, functional analysis (measure theory, function theory) and mathematical logic is proposed for the first time. The definition includes the absolute and design levels of abstraction as well as the abstract definition of the Building Intelligence Quotient (BIQ) which can be extended to any aspect of the building sector such as applied theory, structural design practice and construction management practice. Relevant formal fundamentals of the proposed definitions are presented, and the prospects for the development of designated areas by means of technical regulation of these areas are discussed.
