Abstract: In this paper, we propose a simple and tunable robust compensator for an Adaptive Optics system, based on the Robust Model Matching strategies. In order to evaluate the performance of the system, we made some laboratory experiments with the atmospheric simulation instruments. Experimental result shows that by using the designed controller, the performance of the system has improved significantly comparing with some conventional works.

Abstract: We present a new high-speed drift-enhanced InGaAs/InP mushroom vertical PIN photodetector which is integrated on a GaAs/AlGaAs F-P filter cavity using an undercut mushroom mesa structure to significantly reduce both the detector RC constant and the parasitic capacitance. A 3dB bandwidth of 110 GHz and a quantum efficiency of 68% are simultaneously obtained at 1.55 μm wavelength.

Abstract: Vehicle Detection System plays a basic role in the field of intelligent transportation, and is the cornerstone of constructing modern intelligent transportation system. This paper presents a new vehicle detection algorithm using WSN that called the adaptive state machine. The algorithm can adaptively update the threshold and baseline; use the state machine to achieve the aim of the accurate and efficient vehicle detection. It can be used for the detection of road traffic flow, and can be used in large parking vehicle guidance system. On the road, we have deployed 76 Sensor Nodes to evaluate the performance. We observe the accurate of the road vehicle detection rate of vehicle detection system is nearly 98%.

Abstract: To solve inconsistency problems of Power Quality Data Interchange Format (PQDIF) file, a novel detection method is studied. According to different provincial PQDIF specifications in China, the current application status of PQDIF file is introduced. The inconsistency problems arising in the practical applications are analyzed based on the analysis of PQDIF standard structure. By parsing the tag combinations in data source of PQDIF file, the key tag groups will be obtained. Then by matching the groups with the specification, the consistency test of PQDIF file can be achieved. Finally, the result of data programming shows that the proposed method is valid and practical.

Abstract: This paper presents a novel sinusoidal signal time delay tracking scheme based on radio interferometric for wireless sensor networks. We first design an interference signal composed of two sinusoidals with different frequencies in a transmitter. Then a sinusoidal signal time delay tracking algorithm based on DTFT is also presented. Compared with the source-separated radio interferometric time delay estimation (RITDE) technology, the proposed scheme can directly acquire time delay between two rather than among four receivers. Hence it can be employed directly to the traditional time-difference-of-arrival (TDOA) localization algorithm. Simulation results confirm the efficiency and superior performance of the DTFT-based algorithm as compared to the existing filter-based approaches.

Abstract: This paper introduces a kind of headrest, which can improve sleeping, based on the mindset EEG device platform. It can extract the information of brain waves on the human body during the sleep and shorten the time to fall asleep. This headrest can fluctuate according to the human brain's EEG curve characteristic value extraction hypnotized. By calling Android phone music player software and media library before broadcasting via headphone in terms of the bluetooth device, users enable to fall asleep quickly. Headrest design structure enhances the comfort of its usage. The headrest is available in a variety of occasions.

Abstract: Sensor Bus is an important part of Sensor Web. This paper proposes a distributed real-time sensor event service model based on improved Sensor Bus which uses a plurality of different protocol sensors as information sources. The model constructs a receiver module for each sensor in which each type of sensor has a corresponding agent to be responsible for receiving real-time data measured by the sensor. These data will be packaged into XMPP messages in order to send to XMPP Server. Sensor event service (SES) communicates with XMPP Server via SES Adapter, filter event according the clients subscription request and notify client when the event meets the subscription conditions. We verify the validity and feasibility of the model through the simulation of high temperature monitoring and warning service of sensors using TCP and UDP protocols respectively.

Abstract: The paper introduces a method of fault diagnosis using fuzzy set theory. In the paper, the principle that a fault symptom either exists or doesnt exist is abandoned. A crisp number between 0 and 1 is used to denote the degree of fault symptom, by which the fault symptom vector is constructed. For every kind of fault symptom, a fuzzy pair-wise comparison matrix is constructed. The elements of the pair-wise comparison matrix are triangular fuzzy numbers which denote the qualitative comparisons between the membership values of the given fault symptom with the reference to a pair of possible faults respectively. The least logarithm squares method is applied to determine the membership of the fault symptom with respect to each fault, and then the fuzzy diagnosis matrix is constructed. A simple weighted addition is used to calculate the fault vector based on the fuzzy diagnosis matrix and the fault symptom vector. Center of area is used to determine the best non-fuzzy performance value of the fuzzy number, according to which the fuzzy numbers can be ranked. The ordering of all the possible faults based on the fault symptoms is determined. At the end of the paper, an example is used to demonstrate the procedure of fuzzy fault diagnosis.

Abstract: A new high-speed infrared video-based fatigue detection system was developed using a system on a programmable chip (SoPC) in this study. Based on the limitations of PERCLOS, we merged the eyes and mouth fatigue related characteristics to improve detection accuracy, used a Difference of Gaussian (DoG) filter and Ada-boosting algorithm to implement driver fatigue detection based on multi-feature fusion. The detection system was produced using FPGA with a parallel processing structure and pipeline technology. This system is innovative and it can detect fatigued states efficiently and rapidly.
