Abstract: An improved cellular automata model is proposed to study the pedestrian counter flow in corridors with different placements of barriers. The model considers the sensing region, collision avoidance, following, position exchange, and other common pedestrian behaviors. The sensing region here considers not only the number of pedestrians, but also their distances, velocities, both of which affect pedestrians’ transition probabilities. For example, when confronting with opposite pedestrians in high speed, the pedestrian may prefer to slow down or change the original direction. In the model, the pedestrians can change their velocities according to different situations. Simulations are conducted with the proposed model and the effect of different placements of barriers in corridors is studied in detail. The flow rates in different situations are compared, and it is found that certain placements of barriers can obviously improve the corridor’s pedestrian capacity, which may contribute to corridor design in the future.

Abstract: In this study, it is aimed to introduce such a one-dimensional traffic model to investigate two-dimensional crossing traffic flow at crossroad that without traffic light. The full velocity difference model is modified to adaptive stop by referring stopping sight distance and to solve conflict at crossroad by integrating self-organized rules. Simulation of crossing traffic flow is conducted and discussed. Results such as flow rate, individual velocity and traveling time show the crossroad without traffic light has significant impact on traffic flow. It is hoped this work may provide valuable evacuation references for the emergency department and individual evacuees.

Abstract: Through the fatigue experiments of glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) specimens with 0%0.6%0.8% and 1% glass fiber volume fraction, the fatigue-lives of GFRC at various stress levels were obtained. The results indicate that the statistical distribution of fatigue-life of GFRC is in agreement with the two-parameter Weibull distribution. According to the statistical analysis of fatigue-life,the study shows the fatigue life of GFRC follows both the two-parameter Weibull distribution and three-parameter Weibull distribution, but three-parameter Weibull distribution is more suitable for expressing the law. Besides, the S-N curves and P-S-N curves which can be used to determine the life of GFRC under constant amplitude fatigue load were obtained.The results indicate that GFRC has distinguished anti-fatigue property.

Abstract: In the telecommunications industry, because of the information from different data sources, there are many discrete, uncertainty and heterogeneous data types cannot be used directly for data warehouse, there is not common ETL model. In this paper, investigation for the ETL tools in the Teradata warehouse, design a general ETL model for telecoms industry. Take the telecom business analysis system for example, verify the ETL model, prove that ETL model improve data conversion efficiency and it is good generality.

Abstract: Main affect factors of curriculum teaching system are teaching rhythm ratio and learning damping of students. However, the lacks of appropriate methods research the relationship between two main factors and expressed characteristics of curriculum teaching system. Based on built physical model of curriculum teaching system in this paper, and refer to course assessment grade which is main expressed characteristics of curriculum teaching, the model parameterization is done. Taking course assessment grade of a teaching class as case, the distribution of learning damping, teaching rhythm ratio, and both of comprehensive influence are simulated by means of Matlab software. Simulation results show that learning damping and teaching rhythm ratio nearly submit to the law of normal distribution, and distribution between learning damping and teaching rhythm ratio is saddle-type.

Abstract: Text mining is the task of automatic discovery of new, previously unknown information from unstructured document collections. Vector space or bag of words representation is one of the mainstream descriptions of text, in which each document is a data point in high-dimensional space and order between words is omitted. Generative models are probabilistic representation of data that can be regarded as the generator of observed data. Being probabilistic modelling approaches, a set of methods and criterions are available for model estimation, inference, comparison and selection for generative models. In this paper, we review several existing probabilistic models that are commonly applied to discrete exchangeable collections in English text. We hope this will shed some light on the Chinese text modelling and mining tasks.

Abstract: Due to its origin reasons, deformation failure mechanism, and geometry boundary condition,the property of talus slope is very complex and may bring serious environmental problem. Whats more, the destruction of landslide and the handling of talus slope impact on the natural environment and engineering. In particular, in order to ensure its stability, some of natural environment is changed seriously by cutting slope, it is serious affected the ecological environmental deterioration. This paper highlights the problems universally existing in incompetent talus slope engineering; a review is made on the theoretical results and research progress achieved in internal qualities, destabilization pattern, deformation, stability, dynamic analysis. Then the existing problems and further research direction are proposed, so as to provide a reliable reference for further research or work.

Abstract: Density functional theory and the hard and soft acid-base theory are widely used in quantum mechanics and computational chemistry. This article combined them to describe the iron oxide adsorption of humic acid free energy relationship, and predict the free energy relationship equation, which plays an important role for the study of the formation mechanism of organo-mineral complexes in soil carbon sequestration.

Abstract: In this paper, three types of urban sewage treatment cost model, Oxidation ditch, ICEAS and A2/O are established respectively. The cost model and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) were applied to sewage treatment plant for process optimization. It provides guidance for urban sewage treatment process decision-making.

Abstract: In this paper,for the precision of tension control affects the products quality and performance of the device. In the coiling process while the tension control of the lead plate coiling machine is not stable, it will cause uneven thickness of lead sheet, affect the winding quality of lead sheets, and impact electrolysis efficiency. In this paper, according to the requirements of electrolytic process and the lead sheet winder actual working process, designing a tension control system in order to improve the precision of tension control.
