The Synthesis of Starch Graft Temperature Scale Inhibitor

Article Preview

Abstract:

Using the self-made initiators, starch as basic material, acryl amide (AA) and 2-acryl amide-2-methyl propane sulfuric acid (AMPS) as raw material, a new starch graft of high temperature resistant scale inhibitor is synthesized. Through the indoor experiment, the optimum process conditions of polymerization reaction is confirmed: the initial monomer concentration is 30%, m (ST): m (AA+AMPS) =3:7, m (AA): m (AMPS) =7:3, the dosage of initiator is 0.1%, T=45 °C, t=5h. The graft copolymerization product is gotten with the monomer grafting rate is 96.5%, the conversion rate is 97.6%. The infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy is used to characterize and analyze the product.
