Abstract: The synthesis and nonlinear optical properties of two N, N-dimethylaminophenyl substituted BOPIMs, BOPIM-ma and BOPIM-dma, were investigated. A more significant solvatochromic shift is achieved in BOPIM-ma, which is more sensitive to solven. It is distinct that the energy gap between the HOMO and LUMO for BOPIM-ma, 2.503 ev, is larger than that of BOIM-dma, 2.449 ev, an indication of the functionalization of N,N-dimethylaminophenyl group.

Abstract: The mean projected ranges and range straggling for energetic 200 500 keV Yb ions implanted in silicon-on-insulator (SOI) were measured by means of Rutherford backscattering followed by spectrum analysis. The measured values are compared with Monte Carlo code (SRIM2012) calculations. It has been found that the measured values of the mean projected range are good agreement with the SRIM calculated values; for the range straggling , the difference between the experiment data and the calculated results is much higher than that of .

Abstract: The pomegranate husk extract is modified by formaldehyde and diethylamine, the products have been investigated as corrosion inhibitors for Q235A steel used in oil fields. The inhibition efficiency of products have been measured by weight loss method with the concentration range from 10 mg/L to 1,000 mg/L in 1wt% HCl at different temperture. The inhibition efficiency of the modification product shows good inhibition efficiency after modified by formaldehyde and diethylamine, which is up to 89.31% at 60°C. The inhibitory effect of modification products is in accord with Langmuir adsorption equation.

Abstract: TiAlN coated cemented carbide is a new style material and enjoys many advantages such as high wear resistance ,good physical and mechanics performance. Through cutting tests of machining stainless steel S17700, we study the effects of different cutting performance on tool life to get optimum cutting performance when tool life is constant. The study shows that this cutter is a better material in cutting stainless steel.

Abstract: Aiming at the electrode tips wear problem during resistance spot welding of aluminum alloy, the authors analyze electrode tip wear processes during resistance spot welding of aluminum alloy, and then propose the resistance spot welding with cover plates to be used to weld aluminum alloy. Since the electrode tip do not contact with aluminum alloy sheet, the electrode tip service life can be lengthened.

Abstract: Metal fluid flow in weld pool would influence final quality of forming part in GMAW welding deposition-based rapid forming process. To numerical study fluid flow in weld pool, heat and force effects on weld pool surface must been made clear firstly. A three-dimensional numerical model has been built to study arc behavior in GMAW welding deposition-based rapid forming process. Solving the model, heat flux and pressure distributions on the cathode were derived. Calculated results show that heat flux from the arc to the cathode is related to arc temperature nearly above the cathode, and is not monotonous about radial distance within 2 mm distance away from arc axis. A maximum pressure with a value of 800 Pa happens at 1mm away from arc axis.

Abstract: Dynamic mechanical properties of radial curtain plybamboo and its constitution unit-radial bamboo strip were studied using dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). The results showed: experimental temperature had great effect on dynamic mechanical properties, the shape and alignment of radial bamboo strips were closely related the dynamic mechanical properties of radial curtain plybamboo.

Abstract: A series of polylactic acid (PLA)/IFR composites was prepared by melt blending method.Capillary rheometer and rotary rheometer were applied to investigate the effects of and flame retardants on rheological properties. The results of the rheological test show that the melt flow rate increases with the increasing of content of Intumescent flame retardant. Intumescent flame retardant joined making PLA system flow rate is larger than pure PLA, melt flow rate increases, apparent viscosity decreases, relaxation time decreases, and the complex viscosity decreases gradually with the increase of scanning frequency.

Abstract: Due to the shortcomings of traditional emergency decision drill mode for urban crisis, such as patterned scripts, sophisticated preparation and high cost, a novel drill mode based on wargaming was proposed. The key technologies, including the elements, architecture and flow control of the system were analyzed and explained combined with an example. The wargaming based drill mode provided a flexible platform. It can train the players decision-making ability profoundly in case of crisis, and can quantitatively evaluate the drill effect. Moreover, this drill mode can save a lot of money, labor hours and resources.

Abstract: As quality aggregate resources are exhausting with massive construction development, inferior aggregate resources somehow are the only picks on the jobsite. The negative impact of inferior aggregates on the workability of fresh concrete is becoming pronounced worrisome on the constructability of concrete structures due mainly to their poor gradation. Therefore, intelligent approach must be found to make fresh concrete workable and consistent while using inferior aggregates. In this study, uniform aggregate gradation curve, Aggregate Coarseness Factor (ACF) and Workability Factor (WF) were used to control the gradation of blended aggregates for achieving desirable workability of fresh concrete. Experimental study and engineering practices indicate that uniform aggregate gradation curve cooperating with ACF and WF are reliable tools to control workability of fresh concrete and obtain quality concrete while only poor aggregates available.
