Abstract: In order to analyze the existing problems of temporary reversible lane, traffic flow velocity characteristic at the period of direction changing was analyzed. Taking Huangpu road as the investigation object, the traffic flow velocity parameters before and after direction changing were investigated respectively. By the method of mathematical statistics, the individual vehicles velocities and the traffic flow velocity before and after direction changing were compared and analyzed. Using the method of regression analysis, the relationship model between velocity and density of reversible lane was constructed. This paper also discussed the problems of this kind of lane. The research showed that, in terms of traffic flow operation velocity of temporary reversible lane, there is obvious and regular difference between before and after direction changing. There is a certain relationship between the velocity and density. The problem of lower lane utilization ratio of temporary reversible lane usually exists.

Abstract: Comprehensive passenger transport hub, the intersection of various means of transportation, its main function is to achieve "zero distance" transfer among different transportation means, meet travelers needs for efficient, safe, convenient and comfortable transfer, and maximize the services level of urban passenger transport. This paper conducts a research on influencing factors of passenger transfer in comprehensive passenger transport hub and the transfer volume of different transportation means. The result not only provides technical support for design of comprehensive passenger transport hub in future, but also shows application value in optimizing facilities of hub, and improving pedestrian traffic and self-organization science.

Abstract: Timetable-independent and timetable-dependent passengers relative waiting time were calculated based on data collected at nine stations of three bus lines in Jiangqiao area of Shanghai. Travel purpose and ride frequency should have an important influence on behavioral adaption to published timetable of suburban bus lines. Timetable-independent and timetable-dependent passengers arrival rates both fitted Johnson SB distribution well with a K-S test. The left skewed distributions suggested a large share of passengers, especially commuters who had great dependence on timetable, do schedules to reduce their waiting time due to long headways. Passengers of bus line without timetable appeared to arrange arrivals near the scheduled departure times according to past experience.

Abstract: Parking charges is a widely used and effective means to improve parking demand management. Based on the structural equation theory, the model about the influence factors related to the acceptability of parking charges was established. Eight factors were selected for the modeling, including problem perception, willingness, perceived effectiveness, perceived benefits, perceived freedom, perceived fairness, social norms and accountability. And a survey of two charging schemes was undertaken in Nanjing concerning influence factors of the acceptability. Model verification and path coefficient test were conducted based on the established structural equation model by AMOS. It is indicated that the most significant factors affecting the acceptability of parking charges measure are perceived effectiveness and willingness. Finally, according to the conclusions, the suggestions of improving acceptability of parking charges were presented.

Abstract: The primary purpose of this research is to estimate the OD matrix using TransCAD software. The total process is divided into four steps: 1) traffic volume survey during peak hours; 2) network flow forecast for planning period; 3) trip production and distribution forecast over roadway networks; 4) traffic volume assignment. This proposed method is used in a TIA project of commercial building at Handan, China, which verifies its effectiveness.

Abstract: In recent years, a promising software which is called UC-win/road has been playing a major role in Chinese traffic simulation research. It is mainly applied in traffic planning and design, road and landscape simulation, and transportation environmental assessment. In this article, firstly, a brief description of the software will be introduced. Secondly, the possible problems which might be generated in road traffic simulation will be given. Finally, one case study will be shown in detail and the future of the software in China will be prospected.

Abstract: A 3D traffic environment build platform based on UC-win/Road is developed by discussing the advantages, functional integration of software in the platform, and the construction procedures of 3D environment. The procedures includes determining overall dimensions and textures of the models by close-up photography and remote sensing images, drawing traffic signs and road markings by CorelDRAW, making model maps by Photoshop, modifying models by 3Dmax and 3D Model Conversion Tool, adding models through three approaches in UC-win/Road: configuration of models, construction of road appendages, editing road section. In this paper, the construction procedure of buildings and road signs and the 3 views building method of terrain patch are concluded, and the example of reconstructing the traffic environment of from the Tianningsi Bridge to Fuxingmen Bridge in Beijing is given to demonstrate the reliability and availability of the platform in China.

Abstract: On the base of the characteristic analysis in the process with the car crash into guardrail in our country, the paper major in analysis for contact stress and damage of steel concrete, car is solid model and guardrail is elastic-plastic model. Through ABAQUS element software, the paper simulate the dynamic response to the car crash into Reinforced concrete guardrail with different angles and velocities. The incident Angle unchanged, with greater speed is produced the bigger contact stress, in a very short period of time to a peak and quickly decreases. At the same speed, Angle increases, at the same time the damaged region increased. The results show that use the element ABAQUS software to simulate Car guardrail collision is feasible and the speed of cars and collision Angle have greatly influenced the safety performance of the cars and guardrails.
