Abstract:

There are a lot of advantages of multimedia and internet-based technology, and there is a great necessary to be content-based in the process of language study on the basis of the social characteristics of language. So a good combination of the two will greatly promote the speed of getting knowledge and good influence of information. But, at present, there are still some misuses in the use of multimedia in the process of content-based language study in China. The quality and quantity of multimedia are still at a low level. Some materials are not chosen on strict basis of selection. Besides, how to boost the critical thinking of students is also very important. So a balance of multimedia and content is an ideal way to achieve a balance.
