Design on Double Axial Steering Mechanism of Vehicles and Research on its Steering Error Properties

Article Preview

Abstract:

A symmetrical plane six-bar mechanism is designed as steering mechanism and a plane four-bar mechanism is designed as double shaft linkage mechanism of vehicles. Design equations of the two types of mechanisms are set up and solved through iterative method. Steering error is analyzed and reappeared by diagram of curves. The exactitude on the design results is proved by design example.
