The Assessing Method of Mental Concentration Based on the EEG Evaluation Index

Article Preview

Abstract:

A method for assessing mental concentration degree is proposed in this paper, which is implemented by turning the raw brain waves extracted by brain-wave sensor into statistical indexes as Attention index and Meditation index. The experimental results indicate that the performance of this method is excellent. It is much more efficient and accurate in reflecting the groups mental state than the ordinary methods. Thus, it can be used as a reliable metric to determine students attention span in learning.
