Article Preview

Abstract:

After years of development, software process management has become a mature system that contains a lot of management practices and models, in which is the most well-known CMM process model. However it only provides process improvement guidance from macro perspective rather than micro perspective that containing clearly specific knowledge and skills required for the individual. PSP is designed for individual software engineers, and provides necessary and strong support for CMM implementation. Its methodology has become more and more mature and been applied widely. From the perspective of software quality management, this paper makes a systematic overview of PSP including its developing route, framework, application and so on , it also provides suggestions and measures for software companies to implement PSP.
