Analysis of Experiments of Cutting Force and Improvement of Surface Properties for Al2O3 Ceramics Inserts by Ion Implantation

Article Preview

Abstract:

The problem which people are following with interest all the time is how to improve the cutting properties and natural life of cutter. The feasible experimental analysis is done for Al2O3 ceramics inserts. The technique of N+ ion implantation is adopted in the experimentation, the practical formulae of cutting force are set up, and the cutting properties of inserts are compared and analyzed. An effective, simple and convenient method for changing the surface properties of inserts is obtained. All the tries are achieved with the aim of property melioration for ceramics inserts.
