Abstract:

The study on calculation method of earth pressure around the circle of large cylinders will be deduced in this paper. The arch effect of soil is introduced into study. Considering the soil arch effect, different stress sections appear in the soil between two cylinders due to the change of stress state. Equations are established respectively in these sections and the analytic solutions to the equations are obtained
