Abstract: This paper presents an algorithm for hiding information’s in raw video steams using art of steganography using discrete wavelet transform. While mostly applied to still images in the past, it has become very popular for video streams recently. When steganographic methods are applied to digital video streams, the selection of target pixels, which are used to store the secret data, is especially crucial for an effective and successful-embedding process; if pixels are not selected carefully, undesired spatial and temporal perception problems occur in the stegno-video. Typically, an irrecoverable steganography algorithm is the algorithm that makes it hard for malicious third parties to discover how it works and how to recover the secret data out of the carrier file. In this paper, a new embedding algorithm is proposed to hide the secret data in moving videos. The 2D-DCT of the video is taken and the secret message is embedded. The performance measures are evaluated for the quality of the video after the data hiding and show good results.

Abstract: In this paper, a Computer aided classification approach using Cascaded Correlation Neural Network for detection of brain tumor from MRI is proposed. Cascaded Correlation Neural Network is a nonlinear classifier which is formulated as a supervised learning problem and the classifier was applied to determine at each pixel location in the MRI if the tumor is present or not. Gabor texture features are taken from the image Region of interest (ROI). The extracted Gabor features from MRI is given as input to the proposed classifier. The method was applied to real time images from the collected from diagnostic centers. Based on the analysis the performance of the proposed cascaded correlation neural network classifier is superior when compared with other classification approaches.

Abstract: Atherosclerosis is hardening of arteries due to high blood pressure and high cholesterol. It causes heart attacks, stroke and peripheral vascular disease and is the major cause of death. In this paper we have attempted a method to identify the presence of plaque in carotid artery from ultrasound images. The ultrasound image is segmented using improved spatial Fuzzy c means algorithm to identify the presence of plaque in carotid artery. Spatial wavelet, Hilbert Huang Transform (HHT), Moment of Gray Level Histogram (MGLH) and Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) features are extracted from ultrasound images and the feature set is reduced using genetic search process. The intima media thickness is measured using the proposed method. The IMT values are measured from the segmented image and trained using MLBPNN neural network. The neural network classifies the images into normal and abnormal.

Abstract: Medical imaging is important in trendy medical aid that gives diagnostic info for clinical management of patients and designing of treatment. Every year, terabytes of medical image data’s square measure used through advanced imaging modalities like Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), and lots of additional new methodology of medical imaging. Advances in technology have created the chance for radiology systems to use complicated compression algorithms to scale back the file size of every image in an attempt to partly offset the rise in knowledge volume created by new or additional complicated modalities whereas protective the numerous diagnostic info. This paper outlines the various compression strategies like Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), Fractal Compression and Set Partitioning In hierarchical Trees (SPIHT) applied to numerous medical pictures. Experimental results show that the projected SPIHT approach achieves the next Compression Ratio (CR), Bits Per Pixel (BPP) and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) with less Mean square Error (MSE) in comparison with DCT methodology.

Abstract: This system is used for monitoring the speed, torque, efficiency, voltage & current by employing ZigBee based wireless sensor network. Embedded system is used for acquiring electrical signals from the motors in a non-invasive way. The speed and torque estimation is done locally. An embedded system is used to control the speed of the motor the values calculated by the embedded system are transmitted to the monitoring unit through ZigBee based wireless sensor network and it can be monitored locally in PC. The main advantages of using ZigBee are low maintenance cost, security, reliability and through output. Using simulation, the characteristic graph for speed, torque, output voltage and output current can be obtained.

Abstract: Renewable energy is the energy which comes from natural resources such as wind, rain, sunlight, and tides. These resources are generally renewable can be naturally replenished. Therefore, for all practical purposes, and resources can be considered as inexhaustible unlike dwindling conventional fossil fuels. This renewable energy has to be used in an efficient way for that Hybrid systems are used. This paper shows the monitoring of a hybrid power unit. The monitoring system has been conceived for comparing the performance of the power generation unit with reference. Depending upon the performance the fault can be analyzed. The fault can be viewed in local and remote location. LABVIEW software is used for data acquisition and analyzing a fault.

Abstract: — Ultrasound imaging is the most commonly used imaging system in medical field. Main problem related to this imaging technique is introduction of speckle noise, thus making the image unclear. The success of ultrasonic examination depends on the image quality which is usually retarded due to speckle noise. There have been several techniques for effective suppression of speckle noise present in ultrasound images. The filtering techniques considered include anisotropic diffusion, wavelet de-noising, and local statistics. Comparison of the filters is based on their application of objective quality metrics, which quantifies the preservation of image edges, overall image distortion, and improvement in image contrast. The computational analysis quantifies the number of operations required for each speckle reduction method. A speed-accuracy analysis of various methods for anisotropic diffusion is included. It is concluded that the optimal method is the OSRAD (Oriented Speckle Reducing Anisotropic Diffusion) filter. The proposed approach technique deals with an improved OSRAD filter which gives an efficient result other than the previous filters by analysing the quality metrics.

Abstract: — This article describes a novel control strategy of a stand-alone Self-Excited Induction Generator (SEIG) driven by a variable speed wind turbine. The conventional Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) controller is restructured by using a Current Controlled Voltage Source Inverter (CC-VSI) with an Electronic Load Controller (ELC) is connected in parallel with the main consumer load to the AC terminals of the induction machine. The proposed control strategy has Neuro-Fuzzy Logic Controller (NFLC) and Hysteresis Current Controller (HCC) to extract the maximum available energy from the wind turbine as well as to regulate the generator terminal voltage simultaneously against wind speed and main load variation. The control parameters are derived according to steady state characteristics of the proposed system. The proposed system is modelled and simulated with the help of SimPower Systems block sets in MATLAB

Abstract: Various multilevel inverter topologies are widely being used for real power exchange, reactive power compensation, harmonic current mitigation on grid and industrial drive applications with fundamental frequency switching mode of gate control. Still so many topologies are being currently developed with reduced number of switches, improved waveform for power quality improvement with fundamental frequency switching and pwm switching gate control mode. This paper presents the performance analysis of modified H-bridge single phase inverter for high voltage and high power applications. The switching method has been selected to operate the inverter at fundamental frequency switching mode of gate control to be free from lower order harmonics. The inverter has the modulation technique with pre calculated switching angles to generate the required fundamental voltage with reduced Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). So, the switching losses have been reduced hence the efficiency is improved with Power Quality (PQ) improvement in voltage-current waveform. The DC input power is feed to the inverter from DC capacitor voltage divider source, contributed to give various dc voltage levels during fundamental frequency switching of different switching combinations for the generation of stepping output voltage. During dynamic load condition, the magnitude of input dc voltage level across each capacitor has not undergone through big swing to feed the power to the load without affecting generated output ac voltage. The performance of the proposed inverter has been analyzed for dynamic reactive load and induction motor. The MATLAB based simulations have been presented to validate the inverter operation for dynamic reactive load and industrial drive applications with pre calculated THD reduced switching conduction angles for PQ improvement in waveform.
