Experiment Study of Bed Sediment in Yi River Shandong China

Abstract:

Physical and mechanical tests have been performed on 2 kinds of bed sediments from Yi water system, on the bed sediments from the earth dam in Ri-zhao, and on the polluted soils from the Lin-yi city to investigate the engineering characteristics. The test shows the bed sediments in the Yi river are considered unsuitable as embankment materials according to the river design standards and the STMC manual, and so, a stabilization criterion of bed sediments needs to be established.
