Study of Organic Fluorine Modified Epoxy Acrylic Cathodic Electrodeposition Coatings
Abstract:
Due to the special nature of the fluorine atoms, the fluoropolymer has a spiral structure with C-C backbone was wraped by F atoms, protecting backbone from harsh environmental conditions, and maintain high stability. So fluorocarbon coatings have some incomparable unique properties, for example: low friction resistance, water repellency, oil repellency, non-flammable, etc., so that it has been applied in many applications, and get more and more attention of paint circles. The cationic fluorinated epoxy acrylic resin were synthesized by grafting appropriate acrylic monomers and organic fluorine onto epoxy resin. The impacts of fluorine amount ,grafting temperature, amination time and temperature were researched and the properties of the obtained paint films were tested. The results show that,in the appropriate electrophoresis parameters, the salt water ,aging resistance ,impact strength of film are improved compared with non-fluorinated ethylene acrlic paint.
