Research and Application of a Novel Cluster Well Pumping Unit

Article Preview

Abstract:

One pumping unit corresponding to one well is the principal oil production pattern for cluster well at the present time. When oil exploitation comes into mid-later period, reducing of permeability will result in falling of oil output and production efficiency as well as increasing of energy cost. Therefore, the production pattern of one well-one pumping unit has been unsuitable to satisfy the demand of cluster well production technology. This paper presents a novel cluster well pumping unit based on slider-crank mechanism. Well load pairing balance way was adopted in our design, and therefore the weight of pumping unit drops greatly. A dynamics model of the unit was established, and contrastive analysis with the beam pumping unit was performed. At the present time, the practical prototype has been used in Chinese oil field and it runs efficiently.
