NC Tool Selection System Based on Process Features of Part

Abstract:

According to the basic features of the process features of parts, a concept of logical parts and logical tools is analyzed, and a tool selection method based on process features of parts are proposed. A system for management and selection of NC tools is developed successfully, and by this system an exchange among tool parts produced by the different manufacturers, and the intelligent selection of tools based on the process features can be realized. The present analysis can provide the basis for its applications.
