Abstract: The finite-temperature entanglement entropy for an alternating spin-1/2 chain with multi-spin interactions is investigated by means of Green’s function theory combined with Jordan-Wigner transformation, to identify the spin-Peierls (SP) transition. It is found that the two-site thermal entanglement entropy is a useful tool to characterize the SP transition. In addition, the competition between multi-spin interaction and Peierls-dimerization plays a central role in the critical phenomenon of the system.

Abstract: To explore the kinetics parameters in the leaching of total flavonoids from Arctium lappal root. According to Fick’s second law of diffusion, the kinetic equation for total flavonoids leaching process was established with ball model. According to Fick’s second law of diffusion, leaching process was analysed. The results can provide the valuable theory basis for the technical design and further research of polysaccharide leaching process.

Abstract: FRP strengthening technique provides a promising alternative for masonry structures. This paper presents research results of quasi-static tests investigating the in-plane mechanical behavior of RC-brick masonry walls with opening strengthened with basalt fiber reinforced polymer (BFRP). Two half scale RC-brick walls were constructed, one without any strengthening scheme served as the reference specimen, another one was directly strengthened with BFRP in mixed strengthening configuration. All specimens were tested under low frequency cyclic loading. BFRP can effectively improve the lateral strength of the wall by a factor of 0.16, and the improvement in the lateral deformation capacity was much significant. The seismic performance of the composite wall strengthened with BFRP can exceed the unreinforced reference, which verifies the effectiveness of BFRP strengthening technique to strengthening RC-brick composite masonry structures in seismically endangered regions.

Abstract: In order to develop the non-destructive test technology of concrete strength for Oujiang River Bridge, a series of experiments were carried out to investigate the influences of mixing quantities and mixing ways (single-mixed and double-mixed) of fly ash and ground slag on the relationship of concrete rebound values and represent value of ultrasonic velocity with compressive strength. Then, the special strength curves of ultrasonic-rebound combined method for concrete of Oujiang River Bridge were established based on the test results with ZC3-A rebound instrument and H450 rebound instrument, respectively. The experimental results indicate that mixing quantities and mixing ways of fly ash and ground slag have no influences on the relationship of concrete rebound values and represent value of ultrasonic velocity with compressive strength when the content of fly ash is less than 35% and the content of ground slag is less than 50%. The strength curve equation of ultrasonic-rebound combined method with ZC3-A rebound instrument can be used to carry out non-destructive test to the concrete under C80. Therefore, it is unnecessary to establish the special strength curves of ultrasonic-rebound combined method with H450 rebound instrument.

Abstract: Based on the spatial beam-column differential equations, the slope deflection equations considering second-order and bend-torsion coupling effect are established. The additional moment caused by torsion and bend deflection are taken into account. Then the finite element pattern of spatial beam-column considering the couple effect of torsion and bend is given. The tangent stiffness matrix and relevant program for nonlinear analysis are further obtained. By the nonlinear calculation and stability analysis of single component which has high accuracy or precise solution, the precision of the FEM model given in this paper is verified by comparing the results with that given in references.

Abstract: Base on the static load test curves of large diameter pile, the process of pile top and bottom settlement have been studied, together with deep analysis of bearing and deformation characteristics. The study shows that side friction play before end resistance, steep fall of curves caused by sediment compaction is a sign of pile side friction to the limit; pile material occurs elastic deformation in the process of loading.

Abstract: In the course of construction ,the free pore water in the saturation soil of highway foundation is seldom discharged immediately, and the excess pore water pressure comes into being ,which result in the delay of consolidation and time limit for a project, this problem are disposed by post-processing. Based on the variational rule of total stress, pore water pressure and effective stress in the foundation, the stabilization, the occasion and the effect of treatment are determined. So, the key of stress-path method is corresponding relation between failure state and stress-path point. The foundatin of destructive criteria based on stress-path analysis, which offer theoretical gist for the design of post-process and may be used as a reference in similar project.

Abstract: The Space syntax methodology is a theory that proposes criticality of each space quantitatively by analyzing space structure. The space structure is analyzed by computer program. In this study, the most appropriate analysis for irregular pedestrian network was considered among the various analysis methods in space syntax. The pedestrian network was analyzed using axial map and Segment map in and around Paldalmoon, Suwon. As a result of the analysis, the segment map showed higher numeric value with 0.79 than axial map with 0.61; however, the global integration in axial map showed the highest result value in the relationship with pedestrian network.
