Abstract:

Maritime silk road is important to China’s economy and politics, and it is influenced by a number of interrelated factors. It is difficult to determine which factors are more important and should be considered preferentially. This paper introduces Interpretative Structural Model (ISM) to identify and analyze those factors. A hierarchy structure of factors influencing maritime silk road which contains three levels is constructed after identifying and sorting factors. By analyzing the direct, indirect and fundamental influencing factors, the results provide references to develop plans of building maritime silk road.
