Abstract: Aims to the routing protocol of Bus Vehicle Network with the characteristics of cyclical movement, we put forward to the Signal-Single & Multi hop Routing (SSMHR) routing protocol, which can solve the problem of the signal attenuation on urban environment and uncertain next hop forwarding on multi-hop. Link Survival Mode considering the signal attenuation will be established in Single-hop to select encounter nodes as forwarding candidate set. Discrete Stochastic Dynamic Programming Delay Probability Model will be established in Multi-hop using the historical data of bus cyclical movement. The two models ensure the submitted data reliable in single-hop, and probability of successfully submitted to the target vehicle through multi-hop within a limited delay. According to the simulation test, SSMHR protocol has a higher successful rate of data transmission and lower submitted delays.

Abstract: The leather productions are produced rapidly in people’s living, the productions’ quality is required stricter. Leather must be detected include leather plainness; leather surface defects and the density of leather before they are produced to be productions.. The most important aspect is the surface defects; the defects’ location, size and quantity should be confirmed. One of the most important steps of leather defects detection is leather image segmentation so as to extract leather defects. Gray level co-occurrence matrix is used to extract a lot of leather surface texture feature, the method of optimized Fuzzy C-means is used to segment leather image in the article. The optimized Fuzzy C-means add the spatial information; the precision of segmentation is improved. The image needs to be treated use morphological approach after it is segmented. As a result, the defective areas are separated from non-defective areas successfully.

Abstract: In this paper, a mobile campus services platform based on Android is studied and implemented. This platform combines with the actual needs of campus life groups. The platform provides some functions for all of teachers and students such as campus information, interested friends, community participation, and communication etc. And by connecting the educational administration system, it can also provide the class schedule inquiry, personalized customized calendar schedule, performance management etc. It is a highly targeted, comprehensive function of campus services APP.

Abstract: Tsunami, one of the most horrible disasters in the earth, the killer wave contains incogitable powerful energy rushing to the shore and coastline. Nowadays the best way for avoiding the tragedy is to use Tsunami Warning System (TWS) to forecast. How does it work based on remote sensing and GIS This question attracts us to find answer and make discovery. We believe with the development of human culture and technology, TWS will be consummate one day. And at that time, people will not get so much loss as today by tsunami.

Abstract: Traditional Thai medicine has been influenced by several cultures, especially from China and India. It is hard to search herbal information we need using a simple keyword, e.g., a common name of a language. In this paper, the KUIHerbRx2014, a multi-lingual and multi-cultural learning tool for herbal information, is introduced. Herb identification, herbal vocabulary, medicinal usages and reliable references, can be collected from this system. Mechanisms of utilizing this tool for improving results from a multi-lingual and multi-cultural herbal search engine are also proposed: (1) providing a set of technical terms in multiple languages, especially herb names, with can be added into local dictionaries. These terms are utilized by word segmentation tools for improving the indexing and searching processes (2) a set of synonyms of these technical terms is built for helping users from a lot of keywords of the same term (3) a list of references from the learning tool can be used as sources of information. From the results, information collected from KUIHerbRx2014 is useful for searching multi-lingual and multi-cultural herbal information by a search engine.

Abstract: Properly performed preventive maintenance is one of the basic conditions for ensuring the operability of the mobile machines. The authors proposed new method of using the modern technology of Global Positioning System and General Packet Radio Services, in order to make proper maintenance decision making and furthermore to reduce costs of preventive maintenance.

Abstract: Vehicle detection is an essential task of environment perception. We proposed a vehicle detection method using the fusion of LIDAR and video for current traffic conditions. First, joint calibration of LIDAR and camera are introduced, the target area obtained by clustering of laser scanning data is projected into the image to get the region of interest (ROI). According to the analysis of vehicle symmetry, vertical edge statistics and template matching based on Hausdorff distance, the transitable area is distinguished. Vehicle detection algorithm is implemented in the united simulation condition of PreScan and Matlab/Simulink. Detection results show that the detection algorithm is robust and reliable.

Abstract: This article presents the new mini-language for effective definition of color gradients for the languages ​​of vector graphics. Mini-language supports two types of gradients: linear and radial. It lets define all variants of color transitions supported by modern vector systems. The code is much shorter and easier than in its alternatives such as XAML and SVG. The entire definition is written within one intuitively the assembled string. Implementation of the presented mini-language could substantially encapsulate and streamline the source code for vector graphics.
