Abstract: Aiming at dealing with the problems of design, debug, and operation that occurred in the condensate polishing system, the paper put forward the problems of the high concentration of oxygen at the outlet of the condensate pump, pollution of the prefilter, the presence of remaining resin in the upper water cap of the high speed mixed bed, condenser leakage and abnormal shutdown of the turbine through the data analysis of condensate polishing system in Taishan Power Plant, diagnostic analysis of all these problems was performed and appropriate solutions were put forward.

Abstract: Sludge composting is an effective method of urban sewage sludge by composting,It can make the sludge into the organic fertilizer for plant growth. In this experiment, straw as bulking agents, through aerobic composting experiment, analysis the changes of temperature, moisture, pH, water soluble organic carbon and germination index during the composting process,The results showed: through aerobic composting can achieve for urban sludge harmless, stabilization and reduction.

Abstract: RBC is one of the effective actors in wastewater treatment. From the fundamental characteristics and treating principle of RBC, this article compares different type of RBC ,includes discussions concerning the progress of RBC’s application、the practical applications and it’s affective factor, then takes a long view of the prospect on studying of RBC on the basis of the discussion in the forward part. Key words: RBC(rotating biological contactor); domestic sewage; industrial wastewater

Abstract: Based on measurement and analysis of stone processing workshop dust source, stone processing dust treatment scheme is proposed, and the cloth bag dust remover and a set of dust removal system is introduced in this paper. In addition, the amount of gas filtration, filtration velocity, and filter bag expanded area and other parameters were calculated. Eventually, result shows that the system can change environment of stone production to get cleaning.

Abstract: Magnetic chitosan microspheres were prepared with reversed-phase suspension methodology using glutaraldehyde as cross-linking reagent for sorption of PFOS. In this study, the SEM image of MCTS showed that it had well-shaped spherical form with smooth surface, and its mean particle size was 4.2 μm from the particle size analyzer. Additionally, the sorption kinetics followed the mechanism of the pseudo-second-order equation, and the magnetic chitosan microspheres had a high sorption amount of 865.95 mg g-1 for PFOS due to the electrostatic interaction.

Abstract: We studied the effects of flushing on water quality and biofilm biomass in different daily flow patterns of distribution system. After building up steady biofilm layers in two flow velocity (0.25 m/s and 0.65 m/s) distribution systems consisting of PE pipe, then flushed by stepwise increased flow velocity. An increase flow velocity caused an immediate increase in turbidity and heterotrophic bacteria of water as a result of detachment of biofilms in the pipes, especially in low flow patterns distribution system. Three days later after flushing, water quality of two systems were generally lower and more stable than before flushing. Flushing strategies only limited biofilm growth to a certain extent and did not completely eliminate microorganisms from the systems. The low flow velocity distribution system was easily being disturbed by flushing.

Abstract: There are many people who are dental decay in He-Jia-Ping, Chang Yang, HuBei Province, China. The fluoride content of water samples was measured by fluoride ion-selective electrode method. The main drinking water source for these villages, ranged from 0.11 to 0.21 mg/L, with the average of 0.16 mg/L, was much lower than the appropriate content. People should drink tea to replenish the supply of fluoride.

Abstract: Alcohol wastewater is a high concentration organic wastewater, the influent BOD, high COD ratio, biodegradability is very good, should take the treatment process with biological treatment as the core. UASB+Bio-contact oxidation+ICEAS process is a new technology, sewage in the reaction process, in the anaerobic - aerobic - anoxic - aerobic anaerobic alternately, for high concentration organic wastewater by removing effect is very good. UASB+Bio-contact oxidation+ICEAS process , continuous flooding, intermittent drainage, overcomes the shortcomings of SBR process intermittent inflow; ICEAS reaction tank is arranged on the whole system, a sedimentation pool, no single set sedimentation tank, can reduce the amount of sludge.

Abstract: To reduce the pollutants of a heavy oil wastewater, a process of high performance compact reactor (HCR) coupled with hydrolytic acidification was investigated, focusing on the removal effect of the typical pollutants and the hydrolytic retention time (HRT) of HCR system.. The results showed the removal rates of COD and oil were 20.4%~40.7% and 25.5%~39.8% after the treatment of hydrolytic acidification, while the whole system reached the 80% removal rate. When the HRT was 48h and jet flow was 3.1m3/h in HCR process, COD and oil were blow 200 mg/L and 10 mg/L, which met the requests of next treatment of wastewater.

Abstract: Pot experiments were carried out to study the effect of compost application amount on the distribution of copper in heavy metal contaminated soil. The results showed that the total Cu content reduced 11.54%, 11.60%, 22.02%, 25.27%, 7.08% and 3.65% after the amendment of 0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 g/kg compost to soil with Brassica juncea, respectively. The amount of water-soluble fraction had no correlation with the compost application amount. However, compost amendment decreased the proportion of Cu in the exchangeable and residual fractions, and increased the percentage of Cu in the carbonate bound, Fe-Mn oxide bound and organic-bound Cu. Furthermore, though the mobility factor of Cu decreased slightly only from 16.64% to 16.27-16.52% due to the addition of compost, the addition of compost to soil can immobilize the heavy metal through bound to organic matter and therefore, lowered their mobility and their phytotoxicity.
