Design for a S7-200-Based Boiler Temperature Cascade Control System

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper describes a boiler temperature cascade control system using PLC as the controller. Here, PLC is used to control the voltage across the resistance wire inside the heater (Control Parameter). This is done in order to regulate the water temperature at the outlet (Primary Parameter to Control) and the water temperature inside the hearth (Secondary Parameter to Control) of the boilers (Object to Control). Using a PID algorithm, the system is able to automatically control the boiler temperature by programming the language - PLC LAD Ladder Logic Diagram.
