Abstract: This paper analyzes the contemporary cognition of Qipao’ design in the context of a Qipao exhibition. Social psychology methods, EXCEL and SPSS are used in the experiment, including questionnaires and interviewing. The data analysis shows six mainly cognitions of Qipao: 1) more than 70% participants loved Qipao, but over 80% of them never wore it; 2) nearly all the participants cared of Qipao’s design when they purchased it; 3) Chinese women didn’t wear Qipao because it was too Chinese and the practicability was too weak; 4) more than 70% participants knew Qipao’s typical design elements; 5) the side slits was the most beautiful elements, and the participants wanted it be used on their daily clothes; 6) red was the most common color of Qipao. It also gives corresponding reasons for the cognitions.

Abstract: The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between fabric property and clothing pressure of knitted underwear, using objective pressure evaluates method. Three kinds of fabric for knitted underwear were tested on the thickness, stretching property and elasticity property, and then three same style of underwear which were made by three kinds of fabric were tried on by pressure dummy. Clothing pressure of three different points was measured and recorded. The linear relationship between fabric property and clothing pressure of knitted underwear was obtained. Results show that Clothing Pressure of knitted underwear is negative correlation with elastic recovery rate of knitted fabric.

Abstract: The objective of this study was to investigate the pressure distribution on body parts, seven body points and different test actions were chosen, and clothing pressure of seven different points was measured and recorded. Seven test points pressure value on each test action were analyzed. Results show that the pressure of each test point is the smallest when natural upright, the curves of the arm at 180 ° and arm lift back forward chang gently, the slope of the curves on chest state (around) and chest state (extended) are steep.

Abstract: This paper focuses on the key technology of lapel production---the top collar and under collar differences and does quantitative research on the relationship between top and under collar differences and fabric performance. The quantitative analysis of the tests highlights the point that with the same fabric, the same pattern and the same grain, the top and under collar differences in tested points of a lapel are obviously related. For all the tested fabric, thickness has the key factor leading to the top and under collar differences.

Abstract: Chinese clothing enterprises have been gradually entered the era of modern and automation, especially with the invention of the automatic sewing machine, has led to the rise of clothing template technology. The effect of clothing template technology on modern clothing enterprises directly improves production efficiency and product quality, at the same time reduces the manual technical requirements. In addition, it solves the problem of labor. This paper mainly discusses the clothing template technology to optimize the traditional process, aim at improves the labor value, and enhance the quality and development of brand.

Abstract: This paper focus on silk clothing design through questionnaires, analysis consumer consumption demand and propensity. Then proposed related strategy: silk costume design should highlight its advantages, on the basis of cultural heritage, shaping the image of the classic silk clothing; optimize the performance of silk fabrics, silk clothing design need to enhance it wearing performance; some modern design elements and skill should used in silk clothing design in order to improve their fashion degree.

Abstract: Experiment of fur fashion design principles and production technology on the use of Jirong rabbit. Starting with fur clothing trends , according to fashion design principles combined with Rex Rabbit hair characteristics , summarized in harmony with color , pattern strengthen decorative effect , deconstruction design reflects the balance and the dividing line reflects the golden ratio . Edging effect reflects the rhythm of Rex Rabbit fashion design principles. And do exploration practices on aspects of the whole fur stitching practices, Choudao technology, and other fabric stitching methods.

Abstract: There are extremely little records of clothes in the ancient times materially or documentarily, yet the series images of Song Dynasty provide the costume researchers with precious image data. In the past, some researchers believed that children’s clothes in the ancient times just acted as the scaled-down version of the adults’; however, the analysis conducted on the images has demonstrated that it is not the case. This paper tries to take the images of children of Song Dynasty as its research object, to conduct an analysis on the styles, materials and patterns of the trousers dressed by children in the early China, aiming at having a clearer understanding of children’s apparel back in the ancient China.

Abstract: Clothing process template is a professional technology mold which is used for garment processing manufacturing process. The basic design principles, component composition and basic design steps of the template are analyzed from the structure of suit sleeve prototype and process characteristics in order to provide beneficial reference for the template design of complex process.

Abstract: The Atles Silk, popular in Xinjiang, China, is a traditional batiked silk rewoven after warp-knot dyeing process, with its pattern as one of distinctive national features. Through arrangement and analysis of its constitution and nature, the author holds that the Atles silk pattern provides abundant elements for designing in terms of modeling, decoration, etc so the research and application of the pattern is significant in modern costume design.
