Abstract: In this paper, the substation electrical simulation system was designed on the MCGS development platform. The designs include simulation system interface design, database establishment, component modeling, and operating process design. The simulation system not only can simulate the substation switching operation and the fault, but also has the functions of real-time data, historical data and alarm records. The designed simulation system is simple, clear, and easy to use. It can be applied to the teaching and training of the substation operator.

Abstract: Damped AC (DAC) voltage method is widely used in partial discharge (PD) detection of power cable. The frequency of DAC voltage is changed due to different length of testing cable. To study the PD characteristics in the heat-shrinkable cable accessories under DAC voltage at different frequencies, four different cases of artificial defects in cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cables were investigated. These defects include termination without stress tube, incorrect use of insulation tape as the semi-conductive adhesive tape in the middle joint, void and metal particles on the surface of XLPE insulation. Furthermore, some characteristic PD parameters including the partial discharge inception voltage (PDIV), the partial discharge extinction voltage (PDEV), discharge magnitude, discharge times and so on were compared and analyzed. The results show that PD characteristics are different as the DAC frequency changes, which provides guidance for the practical application.

Abstract: The probability distribution of electrical characteristic parameters of semiconductor device is an important reference which is used to analyze the reliability and quality consistency of devices. These distributions are considered as normal distribution at home and abroad. This paper utilized mature GaAs MESFET low noise amplifier as analytic sample which is volume production and wide application, and used high-precision Agilent B1505A device analyzer to test main electrical characteristics of 408 samples. After the distribution generation of test results, the Skewness-Kurtosis method was used to analyze probability distributions of the results. At last, the conclusion of distribution of measuring parameter is non-normal distribution was educed.

Abstract: Taking three-level four-leg active power filter (APF) as research object, this paper establishes the corresponding mathematical model. In addition, the paper establishes the Matlab model based on predictive current control strategy, and then the theoretical analysis and simulation research are conducted. The simulation and experimental results show that the APF with predictive current control strategy can compensate harmonic current and neutral current well and make the two capacitors voltage balance effectively.

Abstract: Traditional PI control strategy for DC-side Voltage of Active Power Filter is difficult to determine parameters, so a parameter self-setting fuzzy PI controller is proposed. Analyzing the principle of APF revealed that the compensation ability to harmonic current is closely related to the dc-side voltage. In the fuzzy control rules, the deviation and its changing rate of actual current from given current are input variables and the PI parameters can be self-adjusting. MATLAB simulation results show that: the fuzzy PI control strategy for dc link voltage, the dc side voltage is more stable, APF filtering effect is better.

Abstract: For the first time, the capacitive non-linearity is considered and calibrated. Based on the traditional bootstrapped switch, a cell is added to eliminate the first-order capacitive non-linearity. The measurement shows that the sampling and holding circuit using the improved bootstrapped switch can achieve a SFDR of 86dB with respect to 76dB for the traditional one.

Because the DDR SDRAM has twice the SDRAM memory data rate, now has been widely used. The DDR memory controller design for the DDR SDRAM and the connection between the FPGA provides a solution [3]. This paper analyzes the current international technology trends and storage controller DDR2 SDRAM controller detailed technical specifications. DDR2 SDRAM controller configuration based on register information units, with automatic initialization, to determine priorities, to generate the DDR2 command sequence, and other functions, also can undertake signal control and data reading and writing.

Abstract: This paper proposes a new static var compensator control system with SIMATIC-TDC as the master controller and DSP as the auxiliary controller. Siemens TDC is a high-end controller with excellent data processing capacity, which can satisfy the current reactive compensation control algorithm to finish open loop and close loop control. Meanwhile, the programming configuration software is also fully featured, and widely applied in smelting, chemical and power industries. However, the auxiliary controller consisting of DSP and CPLD can quickly finish precise processing of signals (such as high-frequency sampling and signal frequency spectrum analysis). The static var compensation control system consisting of the master controller and the auxiliary controller has now been applied in many projects, achieving sound compensation effect.
