The Micro-Analysis about the Morphology and Characteristics of the Ball Mill Slag Powder

Abstract:

In this paper, we prepare the samples by the particle image processing technology of the high adhesiveness of blast furnace slag powder. Then we used the ball-mining grinding samples for its microstructure analysis. The results suggest that the index of the shape of micro-fine slag can reflect the characteristics of the particle outlines perfectly. When the clustered particle was split, the index of shape decrease obviously, however the roundness coefficient has no obvious change at the same time. The projected area is closed after split. In additional, the increase of the flatness, the decrease of the surface roughness and the edge angle indicate that the shape of the particle tended to elongated and the irregularity and complexity of the boundaries are decreased.
