Abstract:

Southern understory forage, as a new economic model, had achieved sustainable development and rational use of energy resources and forestry. Understory forage briquetting was not only suitable for storage, transport and commercialization, it was but also beneficial to the quality of hay and to income increases of farmers. This paper investigated the different briquetting factors and nutritional value in southern understory grass such as ryegrass, sudan grass, corn grass and bahia grass. Meanwhile, taking ryegrass as an example, the changes of nutrients before and after briquetting has also been investigated.
