According to the structure of functional properties of aluminum foam, made machine noise enclosures with aluminum foam/steel composite panels was proposed. The mathematical model of sound energy transmission coefficient of aluminum foam/steel composite panel was established. Optimization the model through the MATLAB optimization toolbox gets the thickness and density of foamed aluminum on the best acoustic effects. It provides a reference for the design and manufacture of the lathe acoustical enclosure plate.
