Preparation and Characterization of Metheylphenyl Silicone Oil for Buffer Clay

Article Preview

Abstract:

In this paper, the buffer clay was prepared by methylphenyl silicone oil mixed with talcum powder, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and zinc oxide (ZnO), and the methylphenyl silicone oil was synthesized by the mixture of methylphenyl cyclosiloxane (Ph-D4) and the octamethylcy-clotetrasiloxane (D4) with tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide as catalyst. By ultraviolet spectroscopy (UV), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis of the molecular structure of methylphenyl silicone oil was characterized.
